Well I effed up

I got a call from school RN yesterday immediately after school that DS was "acting weird".  Just all around goofy it seemed.  She gave him a snack because she thought maybe his blood sugar was low.  She was concerned about sending him to his after school acting class (they are picked up after school).  After talking, DS decided he'd go.  RN asked if DS had his med for ADHD today.  I said yes, I gave it to him.  She said his teacher said he had a rough day at school.  I get home and see his pill sitting on the table.  He didn't take it!  I gave it to him and he must not have seen it.  He was also the last to clear his dishes in the am.  I got a hold of his teacher and she said it was not the DS that she's known for the 7 weeks he's been in her class.  I apologized and she of course understood that things happen.  I feel so bad for him that he had a rotten day.  We talked about it and he was ok.  Not that there was any question, but we know he needs the med and here's to a better day today!

  • I just felt so bad.  The poor thing did struggle with trying to complete his two pages of homework.  He usually only has one so I know it was because he couldn't stay on task at school.  Not a mistake I'll make again :)
