Hi ladies! I am active on TTCAL and TTC>35 and am nearing the 6 months mark of trying post mc. I am looking for RE recommendations in the Orlando area. It was suggested to me that perhaps someone here could help. I was wondering if any of you are from the central Florida area and have a doctor you like? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks you!

I am wondering what to expect from the initial appointment and how long the preliminary testing took? I am trying to get it done before the end of the year since I have hit my deductible. Also, I wanted to be sure that whoever I saw has a reasonable approach to care (not just "let's do IVF"). It sounds like you have had good experiences thus far which is encouraging.
ETA: I just saw that you had fibroids. I have fibroids that 2 gyns and a high risk pg dr thought were probably fine, but I can't help but wonder.... What was your experience with the surgery?

As for surgery, I truly couldn't have asked for more. It was great! It was done at Winnie Palmer Hospital and Dr. Riggal did the surgery himself. It was a robotic laparoscopy, and he removed 5 fibroids. Recovery time was super quick. My mom spent the first few days taking care of me but really I could have cared for myself if needed after the first night. It would definitely be interesting to see if the RE has the same opinion about the fibroids.
As for the first appt, it was so long ago I can't really remember, but I'd say a couple hours at most. We also did a transvaginal ultrasound that day (which is how we saw the fibroids for the first time).
