This isn't a car seat question but I pick up my SUV this weekend after 4 months of waiting for repairs and I've been thinking about loose objects in the car. There is usually a jack, jumper cables, and DH steel toe boots in the back at all times. Any thoughts on what to do to keep things secure in the back. I was reading different articles about how dangerous loose items are in an accident and especially with DD still rear facing I can't help but be convinced with objects like that in the "trunk" she would surely be killed in an accident and it makes me sick. I was thinking of buying a cargo net but is that the safest idea or does it come with it's own dangers? If anyone can give some insight I'd be so happy!

Best practice is to put loose things in a tote and buy ratchet straps to ratchet it down.
