NBFR - I've gotta be more observant

So I'm cleaning the kitchen tonight (haven't cooked anything in there today, havent even been home aince I got off work until a little bit ago), and apparently one stove top burner was on low. I moved things around to wipe down counters, and set DS' s lunchbox on top of it (not knowing it was on).

I go on to sweep and start to smell something odd. ............ DS' s lunch box was on freaking fire, plastic melted to the burner, just ugh!

I do not need a kitchen. Seriously. You think I'm kidding, but I have had more accidents in that room than anyone I know.
