Success after IF

A couple random questions

1. DS never took a pacifier but DD is crazy about them.We were using a soothie but lost it. I have some regular orthodontic advent pacifiers but noticed when I wash them water gets inside the nipple? How do I get it out so it doesn't get moldy?

2. DS just turned 3 in July and has been having bad dreams/crying/talking in his sleep almost nightly. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it normal?... I feel like kids this young shouldn't have so many "bad dreams".

Re: A couple random questions

  • No help on pacis.  Neither of mine would ever take them.

E talks in her sleep all.the.time.  She has just recently started waking up crying, and for the first time mentioned "monsters."  I have no idea where she learned about monsters - we have never talked about them, and I don't think she's seen any tv shows or movies with them, and she doesn't go to dc.  But I am guessing she is having  bad dreams too.  Not much help, but I can sympathize.

  • Our three year old wakes up all the time with bad dreams. I think it's normal for 2-3 year olds. We let her sleep in our bed or I'll go lay down next to her for a little bit after a bad dream.

So far I have no idea what they are about, she just come running into our room sometimes crying.

  • I remember there was a way to get the water out. I think holding it upside down an squeezing the nipple. I would just try some different ways.

As far as the 3yr old, I think it's totally normal. My 3yr old is all about things being scary. It's just a phase he is in right now.

  • I used to squeeze the water out of the nipples and shake it after running them through the dishwasher. I switched to gumdrops which are all one piece like the soothies but with the orthodontic nipple. They are great! DD hasn't started with bad dreams yet... I will be sad when she does :/
