My dr wants me to get my hcg levels checked at a local office (my dr is an hour away), but the office won't return my call about price? I know it will vary, but do any of you have a ballpark range of what an hcg test would normally run?

Shouldnt it be covered under insurance if your Dr wants you to get it done??
Getting betas and early information is basically the biggest perk of putting yourself through fertility treatments and, to me, does NOT make up for the bruises and rash on my butt and the daily injections for 15+ weeks. So, don't be too jealous and DEFINITELY don't worry about not having betas tested. My first pregnancy, I had a blood draw at 8 weeks and they never told me what the levels were, just "yup, you're pregnant" and I didn't even know the difference.
But for those counting, my betas rose:
10/6 was 14dp5dt and 4 weeks 5 days: 450-something hcg levels
today is 16 dp5dt and 5 weeks: 950 something
My doc is happy so I'm happy.
ETA: The BABY is obviously the biggest perk of a successful pregnancy or fertility treatment. Duh, I'm complaining a little but still totally feeling blessed.

I'm currently in insurance limbo. I checked the office website and the info isn't there either. Blah. I'll probably go to the local hospital and have insurance back pay it, I guess.
This is after an ectopic a couple months ago. Doctor is not doing any more blood tests- but I will go back in two weeks for an ultrasound to make sure baby is in right location. Doc said as long as I don't have any other symptoms, my numbers are fine and we're good to go.
I am 4wks 6days along and had my hCG levels checked for the 2nd time today. I have to wait until Tuesday or Wednesday to hear the results and see if my levels doubled. My doctor sent me for early testing because I had a miscarriage in early August. My husband and I are anxiously awaiting the results and hoping to hear good news! The problem with my first pregnancy was the levels were rising but nowhere near doubling and an ultrasound near the beginning of week 9 showed the baby had no heartbeat. I'm trying so hard to be positive this time around, but can't help but worry.
Am I the only person here who hasn't had my betas checked?? Shoukd I call my Dr and ask to have them done??
I had mine checked only because I see a fertility doc. I never had beta drawn with my first daughter till about 8 weeks at my first appointment. No need to worry !!
At 4 wks 2days hcg- 226 progesterone- 50 4 wks 4days hcg- 900 I'm 5 weeks today. Is this a sign of twins or just good levels? I have an u/s at 6 wks due to previous miscarriage but I'm not sure if it's too early to show if there's twins.
