  • I'll read just about anything. Most of what I've read lately is scifi, because I share a kindle account with my parents and brother, and that's what my dad and brother read.
I love me a good historical romance, but my absolute favorite (and very specific) genre is post apocalyptic. I read The Postman when I was in 9th grade and that was that.

  • I'm currently reading Kuby Immunology out of both interest and necessity. Most of what I read falls in the category of "mind numbingly dry" as my husband puts it.

@mflowers929‌ I loved The Postman and, when I have time for fiction, read a lot of postapocalyptic work.

  • @SeaParrot - have you ever read The Handmaid's Tale? Sort of post social apocalypse, and another one of my personal favorites

Have you read Edward Rutherford's New York? It was a really long book, but the best historical fiction I've even read.

I've never heard of The Postman but I'm adding it to my list!

I'm guessing that Kuby Immunology is a nonfiction book.

  • I love sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural romance.

    Favorite authors/books:
    Neil Gaiman - American Gods
Laurell K. Hamilton - Anita Blake series
George R. R. Martin - Game of Thrones series
Patricia Briggs - Mercedes Thompson series

Any good suggestions for books? I'm always looking for something new to read!

  • I love historical fiction and non-fiction

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Catch 22 are two of my faves.

    Oh Henrietta Lacks I loved!

  • Love some types of fantasy but drama is my genre of choice.

Life is a balance of holding on and letting go.

I actually really need to re-read it. They made a movie of it starring Kevin Costner. It was pretty good, but the book was so much better.

  • @mrandmrsk91011‌ I loved The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks too. I did a large project on her for a course I took. and it really is an incredible, and incredibly depressing, story.

Yeah. It's the text for the immunology course I'm taking. Fascinating topic, though and I'm enjoying it.
