I agree @Atxmommas. Thanks for posting the article @amber&reva. It is strange that it's often not talked about. After our loss I found myself talking about my experience all the time (I kind of had to for my sanity). What surprised me was how many women across all generations sadly shared this experience at one time or another. In someways I felt closer to my community then ever before.

Ditto. I think the conversation is forced when you're already "out" about the pregnancy which was the case for me at 16 weeks. What surprised me was how many *men* who I worked with reached out, saying their wives or sisters had lost a baby. They were very sympathetic and sweet. Overall, for as common as it is (or seems to be) it's unfortunate that it makes so many people uncomfortable.

And, I liked the ending about just saying "I'm sorry" vs. trying to fix it, suggest reasons for it or offer annoying (and often inaccurate or hurtful) platitudes.
