I need a SS option, we are set on first names but middle names is another story, we have no clue for our son, and our daughter we have a couple of options.
I wish there was a button that said sort of picked. We picked out Georgia Luelle as ONE of the names. We plan to go to the hospital with 2-3 boy names and 2-3 girl names since we are team green. My husband doesn't believe in naming something until we have seen it in case the name doesn't "fit", that is why our horse still doesn't have a name at 2 months old (he will be home soon so we can decide on a name). I am ok with having a few names.
DH and I had two girl names picked since last year... So when finding out about them, it was probably the easiest decision we've made.
F15 January Siggy Challenge: What I'm Looking Forward to After the Babies Arrive Bringing them both home...UPDATE...The girls are home!!! 1/7/15 after 20 days in the NICU!
I couldn't vote because I don't know the sex of the baby yet. If it's a girl, we have the name picked out. If it's a boy, no clue. T minus six days until we find out.

You have horses too? We're soul mates.
Well, we have one horse but we keep horses on our place for friends and they gave us a baby this year! but yes, love horses! We need an animal thread to show off all our creatures!

Aw how fun! I keep my horse at my friend's farm. And I agree, I know people did it a while back... but I can't remember the thread name.
This poll needs a middle option. We have one first name right now. We both like it but not sure it's final. For that name we have come up with several possible middle names (some are cute and different and are totally dependent upon certain scenarios...eg weather upon arrival or a specific date).
We had boy and girl name options we liked for last pregnancy. DS got our top pick for boy name, and now DD will get our favorite girl name. Middle name for DD took a little longer, but I think we're set. We actually had a boy name ready to go before the A/S. So I guess if the tech got the sex wrong we'll be set with our back-up name.
DH and I had names picked out for quite a while now. The boy name we decided on was something I've loved for years and when I told him he loved it as well. When we were discussing having kids we decided on a girl name that is after his grandmother and my great-grandmother. I guess we will have to hold on to the boy name for the future!
DH won't even look at baby names. It's starting to irritate me. I want her to have name. He keeps "joking" but not joking that her name is E***** when it is almost the exact same name as DS. NO. NO NO NO. Once we decided on DS's name, we HAD to throw out our most favorite girl name because it was almost identical. He knew this. It's been 2 yrs since he's known this. get over it and pick a damn name.
vent over.
@Trin42 We are in the almost the same boat! DD's name is Annabelle and the other name DH loved was Alianna (sp? Allyanna? Allieanna?) He keeps bringing that name, and ONLY that name up. We can't have an ANNA-belle and an Ali-ANNA!
We are still at the elimination stage of picking a name. There's four that I can combine differently and like, but we're having fun so far. Best part is putting it with the last name because names that sound like verbs get a little grievous bodily harm-like.
MH does not like any of the names I chose. This will be tough.

Yesterday was Day Zero for DH to start actually thinking about names. I've been randomly throwing stuff at him since before I was pregnant but we're still definitely in the discussion zone. Suggestions welcome on my OP on BNB!!
DH has had this baby named since 2008, when we had DS. DH was deployed up until the last 3 days of my pregnancy, so I picked DS's name on my own. DH had the nerve to ask for #2 while I was still laying in the hospital bed removing from a very traumatic c-section.
DH asked if I was open to changing a baby name if they are born and simply don't look like Harper Abigail and William Alexander. I told him that was fine, but they'd be stuck with Harper and William's monograms for the rest of their lives since I'd be monogramming everything that sits still

Twins? You mean two babies? WOW!
Team PURPLE!!
We are excited to meet William Alexander and Harper Abigail in 2015!
We also had a boy and girl name picked when we found out DD was a girl. Now that we are having another girl we are at a loss. We have a short list but no clear name.
**Siggy Challenge What You're Looking Forward to Most after Baby Arrives**
I guess we are strange but neither of us think it makes sense to name a person before you meet them. We have a list of favorites for boys and girls, and love all of the names. I just don't feel comfortable pinning it down 100% or sharing. I have known friends who declared their name at 20 weeks and then had second thoughts but felt like they had to stay with it because they had all this monogrammed stuff or people expecting it. We will choose after we meet our son or daughter. We aren't finding out the sex, we want the surprise!
We do have a top favorite right now, but also 2 extras for both boys and girls. I'd be happy with any of them honestly. I have no idea what we will actually go with.
We've just chosen ours! Our new baby girl will be Vivienne Nora. Her big sis is Charlotte Elizabeth. No idea what we would have named a little boy. We are planning on having 3 or 4 children though (Lord willing) so we may have to choose a boy name someday. I seriously don't know where to start with a boy...
Before I was pregnant with DS we picked out two boy names. We have a very long history of multiples in my family (me included) so we picked out two names just in case. We LOVE both names and they sound great together. DS is named after my grandfather and new baby will be named after DH's grandfather, so we can't wait to meet little Charles Everett. Pumped to have my Jack and Charlie!
We're in a middle place too. We just found out this new one is a girl, so it did help us start thinking more seriously. In our previous conversations, we determined I really like any of about 4 or 5 names. My husband was a huge proponent of... 1 name (not one on my list).
I like his pick, but have one major issue with it: there are a few different ways to spell it, all of which seem equally used by people, and then some of those spellings suggest different pronunciations. That might not bother other people, but I'm someone who really prefers using the one, most standard spelling of a name, and I'd be really bothered using a name that has multiple variants that are all kinda equally in use.
So just last night, he agreed that it was going to be too problematic, and so the floodgates are open again, but I am pretty sure that means we'll be going with one of the ones on my short list. I'm having some guilt now about feeling like I "won" by getting him to agree to drop his option, so I'm dropping the topic for a few weeks.
Hope to have one set though by the holidays, so we can tell our families (along with dire warnings, of course, to say not one thing negative ).
Edited for clarity.

Oh! I forgot to add that, for some reason, my husband doesn't care about middle names at all, so whatever first name this one ends up with, her middle name will be Noelle -- which is a name I've loved since I was a little girl. We don't do matchy first names, but our daughter's middle name is Natalia, and I do kinda love that little bit of matching.

We've decided on Isla for our daughter (I picked this name 15 years ago when I thought DS1 was a girl) but are having a hard time with her middle name.
I thought Isla was a little hard for middle names that flowed well and we wanted to go with family names and a lot did not work.
We went with the middle names of my Grandmother's. (one passed, one living). We wanted Elizabeth to also represent DH's Grandmothers MN Betty. Betty did not flow with either name we picked.

We've had one boy name picked out(first and middle) since before we started trying four years ago(hubby wants a jr). Over the years, other names that mean something to us have popped up and we both agreed to use them in some way. So, all in all, we have two girl names picked out and two boy names, but we've settled on two. If the little one is a boy, his name will be Phillip Anthony and if the baby is a girl, her name will me Mina Ann.
I think we have found a name that both of us like and the more I say it the more I love it but for some reason our baby does not look like a Camila to me ill have some back up names. I also love love violet and will use it as a middle name or first nameif camila does does not work. So our babys name will be Camila violet B.

We're in a similar boat! DS is Charlie, we had Claire picked out for a girl last time, but I feel like they're just too similar to use Claire. We're in square -50 for girl names because we can't agree on a name.
We have the first name 100%, but we're still unsure about the middle name. @jenhillhoite I might suggest Rosalyn (or some form but two syllables) since it's the name of a female scientist! He wants a queen's name (DD2 are Helene and Victoria), but I think they all sound silly with the first name.
