Scared--asking for positive thoughts

DW just called that she is spotting. We have told absolutely no one about her pregnancy, so we're totally alone in this.  She's almost 10 weeks.  We called the doctor and are waiting to hear back.  I know that spotting can be totally normal, but I'm still terrified.

I'm 15 minutes, her students will be back in her classroom and she somehow has to teach. In 20 minutes, I have 15 elders showing up for me to lead a Bible Study with them. 

Our new doctor doesn't do ultrasounds at the first check up, so we haven't gotten to see baby or have that reassurance, which was upsetting to me to begin with...and now, I'm just scared and sad.

Any prayers and well wishes to help us as we wait would be much appreciated.

My wife went through this at right about 10 weeks. We had seen the HB on the U/S and were starting to tell family. A started bleeding one night and we thought for sure it was an MC. She ended up having a Subchorionic Hematoma. She went on bed rest for a few weeks, and we had a super healthy baby months later. I think someone else on the board recently went through having a SCH as well. 

I know this is terrifying, but there is hope that everything will be okay. Sending thoughts and prayers your way!!

Oh no, I'm sending all my good thoughts your way!  I spotted right around 10 weeks as well. I was in a full-on panic.  I was out of town for work and felt totally alone.  I SO understand what you're going through!

Who do you see for your OB/MW care?  Can you call and let them know that you want to do a viability check?  My MW at Fairview Women's was willing to pull in the portable ultrasound a few times when we couldn't find the HB on doppler, or I was just freaking out.

Thanks, everyone! The positive stories are keeping me sane and I got through the Bible Study ok.

We are still waiting to hear back from our clinic, but in the message we asked for a viability check.

It doesn't help that this pregnancy has been relatively easy--very minor symptoms throughout--so we've been a bit cautious throughout it all.  But, the doctor assured us that few symptoms are a blessing and we shouldn't worry...so I will just keep believing.

I'll let you know once we know more and thanks for the prayers.

I hope to see a positive "everything is okay" post here soon! Bleeding is scary but not that uncommon with normal healthy pregnancies.
