Welcome to Ladies In Waiting. This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions.

Hey @BookishMomma - Thanks for the check-in. How are you doing? Did you get your AMH results? Hope you're enjoying your bench burning!

AFM, everything is going good so far with the OPKs. I have had all negatives so far, but that is what I expected because I don't think I normally ovulate til at least CD15. According to FF, last month I ovulated CD21, but that was my first post-loss cycle, so I don't know how predictive of future cycles that will be. We will see. This cycle of OPKs is really just a dry run anyway since we are still TTA until next cycle. I'm just curious to see what a positive will look like. I also took a HPT this weekend because I got some free ones with my OPKs and it was negative. Weird how that was a relief, but I have been paranoid since my D&C because my doctor didn't do any follow-up bloodwork. Anyway, I'm just hoping I do O this cycle and can go into next cycle TTC with some idea of how my body is working. Hope all of you ladies are having a great week!

AFM I'm still waiting for some sort of darkening OPK....I'm trying very hard to be patient knowing that it could be another 2 weeks, but I'm not succeeding. I keep thinking "what if I O on the side with the blocked tube?" Am I going to know, will it show on my chart as annovulatory? Will it make my cycle even longer? I hate not knowing, very type A if you can't tell LOL I think the waiting to O part of my cycle is the absolute most stressful for me.

@natalie115 If you O on the side with the blocked tube, I believe you should still get a temp shift, though I'm not 100% certain about that. The temp shift is from the rise in progesterone that occurs after the egg is released. This might be a good Q to post on the crazy train, too. The ladies who check it are super knowledgeable about charting.

@BookishMomma I can't thank you enough for your thoughts and prayers! DH and I have for the most part stayed strong as our EDD approaches far too quickly! We've been remembering our baby girls in various different ways and will update their memorial garden with fresh flowers and a new statue of three little angels my Mother In Law got for us in the upcoming weeks. In addition we are going to the Albuquerque balloon fiesta's with friends next weekend and will have one of the balloon driver's release three pink balloons during a hot air balloon race. We already contacted the team and they were happy to do this for us.

Today is CD7 and I'll be taking my third clomid pill tonight! My emotions really started getting away from me last night and I'm putting some of the blame on the clomid . My monitoring appointment is set for 10/10 when we will check the follicles and my lining and provided all looks good I'll get the HCG shot which will drop the egg(s) within thirty six hours!! From there it's just waiting impatiently until CD12(ish) to start testing.

@ctk181 My first O post loss was on CD22 and my second one was at CD17. Definitely keep testing, hope you are able to confirm O without any hesitation!! More important I hope she makes her appearance soon This will give you more confidence in recognizing your O when your done burning the bench (hope that can be very soon)!

@ashtog I SO hope I can be you come 6DPO for us ! I'm a super calm and relaxed person and had NO trouble waiting in the past, but I'm already anxious and excited for this month! I'll be excited to hear from you next week to see where you are in your journey and FX it's exciting news!!

I was hoping my testing day would be tomorrow but I started spotting yesterday afternoon and AF showed up full force this morning. Looks like I'm now waiting to O again.

Yes, I'm in the 2WW!  I think that I actually enjoyed that goofy OPK after all because it gave me an idea of when I was maybe fertile so the hubby and I could HIO.  I'm trying not to get my hopes up and stay occupied with work since I have plenty of it but my mind always finds time for that distraction.  

@ashtog - Sorry that you're bumming right now.  Hoping things turn around for you.

As for me, we were given the go-ahead to burn the bench. I just want to know my AMH results because it is making me nervous not knowing, but they won't change anything about this cycle.

Hey Ladies! I thin this is my first time posting in the Ladies in Waiting threads.

This has been my first month really temping and first cycle ttc since my mmc. I had to discard one temp to get crosshairs but FF says I am 5DPO. I got an even darker +OPK line the next day though so I feel like I am probably 4DPO, so who knows. I'm going to try to hold out until next Wednesday to test. We had good timing but I don't have the same good feeling about it that I did for my first pregnancy. Of course I am keeping my fingers crossed.

@DenaMaree that sounds like a lovely way to remember your LO.  I've been thinking of this lately myself too.  Our EDD is still a ways away (Jan 1), but as we approach the holiday season, I've been thinking about it.  I usually love New Year's Eve, but this year, I'm dreading it.

@LDubHawksFan I agree, temping can be good or bad.  The only reason I keep doing it is to confirm O since I have a pretty big cyst on one of my ovaries.  I want to know if it's impacting anything so I temp away.  It can make me obsess though. 

AFM, I am just riding out AF and waiting for it to be over.  I'm glad the worst of it will be over before my cousin's wedding this weekend so I can hopefully enjoy myself.  I will be seeing a lot of my extended family, so I'm concerned that not everyone knows about the m/c or that it will come up in small talk when they don't know what to say to me.  I'm just glad there will be an open bar.

@ctk181 I know what you mean about being happy for a bfn after your d&c. I was getting positives until 5 weeks after, so once I got that negative I was like "thank god my body is back to "normal"' Good luck next cycle!

@BookishMomma hopefully you get your results soon. I don't know if I missed it in another post or not, but I'm not sure what AMH is?

@ashtog Good job not reading into anything, I've been bad with that this month and it's driving me crazy. Hopefully the rest of the 2WW goes quickly!

@petitchou1019 Welcome and I am sorry for your loss. That must have been so tough waiting 12.5 weeks to find out you have leftover tissue! :S

AFM @BookishMomma I am not in a new cycle yet. AF is due tomorrow.. maybe, before my mc I was anywhere from 26-31 day cycles. So tomorrow will be CD28 which is when I got AF last month, so that's what I am basing off of. I did take a HPT yesterday and it came back negative, so unless I O'd late, which is possible, I'm out again this month. I'm just hoping she arrives soon so I know and can move ahead to next month. I know it's only been one month of really actively trying post d&c but I was still super bummed when I tested yesterday, I really should have waited a few more days.

@CreechMommy WooHoo for the open bar! Please indulge for me too! Since I am taking all kinds of medicines and blood thinners I haven't been able to have a drink since March. I am living vicariously through you! I'm sorry AF made her appearance, but since she was going too I am glad she will be gone in time for you to feel as much as yourself as possible come the wedding! Hopefully this is your month and AF will make a timely exit and O will make a timely appearance!

@SunshineShades I hope if nothing else clarity one way or the other arrives soon! Remember your not our until AF shows her unwanted face. Hope she stays away and you get a excellent surprise!

@pickes4presz Do you have a male fertility issue (MFI)? If not, I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea to BD on the day of your + OPK. There's actually some research that shows that BD-ing on the 2 days before ovulation is more effective than on the day OF ovulation. So I would BD on the day of the + if I were you! Unless you have a male factor that prevents you from BD-ing too frequently...

@pickles4presz I agree with @bookishmomma! My DH actually has low sperm and we were instructed to do OPK's and call my RE the day we get the positive to go in for my ultrasound to confirm O is nearing and get my trigger too. However I was told to have sex every other night leading up to getting the positive O and the trigger and to expect the actual O to occur closer to 36 hours after Ive triggered. If I don't confirm ovulation by CD15 I have a appointment already set for that day when I will get the said ultrasound and the trigger regardless of when it appears O should arrive. Hope this makes sense

Oh, and I was also told that the best odds of a successful cycle is having sex between 24 and 30 hours from the the actual release as my DH's boys will be having a party when the eggs drop and will hopefully feast. This is my RE's attempt at humor

BookishMomma - I'm doing okay! This week has been a true test in patience, let me tell you. 

My DH reached out to my therapist after months of me recommending him to do so. I couldn't be happier for him!!!!! 

DenaMaree for getting me on the FF bandwagon! 

My anxiety has been really high this week, but I'm trying to not take meds. I'm seeing my therapist Friday and I can't wait to see her and talk about my roller coaster emotions of this week. Anxiously awaiting a Dr appt with my GP to do a check up on my asthma as well. This season has been BAD so I want to get on top of it.

I commend you for taking a step away from the meds as there is so much controversy in how they can affect TTC. I hope your therapist can do the trick, but if not then the most important thing is you and your emotional state so do whats best for you!!

Testing with DH went..predictably and interestingly at the same time. DH has been having gastroparesis and dysautonomia symptoms (constant nausea, vomiting, rapid weight loss, heat intolerance, and more) since about 4 months after a car accident in 2010. For the past 4 years we've bounced from specialist to specialist trying to find a reason or at least some decent symptom management beyond the narcotics they've been throwing at him. Mayo was our last stop (DH said no more testing), and Mayo flat out told us that the problem isn't in DH's organs, it's in his brain, but they don't know exactly where or how to fix things. The gastroentirologist quite frankly told us marijuana is the only thing that can manage the symptoms without making DH a pill popping zombie. Aaaaand of course we live in a state where medical use is not accepted. So there's that....

I just got home from my first day back at my internship in school counseling. Of course I cried the whole drive there because that used to be my time with Fenix that I'd sing and talk to him. But, I made it through and I actually enjoyed the distraction. 

I've been waiting on the pictures we had made of Fenix which should come in any day now. I'm anxious to see them and scared for what happens when I have no other pictures to look forward to. 

And I did order a rainbow wrap for if/when DH and I have our rainbow baby. Little healing steps.

Can I please join? I am waiting. I had m/c early Sept. I naturally miscarried and my hcg is negative. I was told that I had to wait one period before trying but have not had my period yet. In addition, my DH just finished antibiotics for an infection found thru a semen culture. We need to wait for confirmation of the infection to clear. We have another culture in mid October and then appt with urologist at the end of October. I want to TTC again ASAP.

@Pickles4Prez  My Dr always have us dtd every 2-3 days and the night of the + opk the next day and night. This rarely happens... life is too busy.

AFM - It looks like last month may have been a fluke, + opk yesterday makes me think things are working again. It is earlier than the past year of cycles. It might be related to my new Assistant.  I think my cycle has adjusted to hers. My previous assistant is 60 so my cycle was on its own.  So I am in another 2ww. Saturday is the anniversary of my loss I will be in my couch fort...

Update from me: I got my AMH number back today and it's better than I was hoping! I was crossing my fingers for anything over 1 (I'm 35 years old and the RE told me he'd like to see it at 1 or above for my age). It came back at 1.5, so within normal range. So relieved!
