Hello Ladies!!  I suppose since I did not have any takers on a new check in leader, I will continue to do it.

How far along are you? 33 weeks today..
Upcoming appointments? No appointments until next week
Any updates to share? Nothing too out of the oridinay, went to my birthing class last weekend and DH did not handle the medical part well and we thought he was going to pass out... but he left the class just in time to recover.  This makes me very worried about our delevery (he has never been able to do medical stuff) but we are hoping for med free and I think his reaction will help me push thru for med free.. but we will see.
How are you feeling? I am feeling pretty good I am so excited it is October and I can offically say I am due next month!  i am a little worried about coming up with a birthing plan, but I will wait and work on that in a couple of months.

QOTW: What is your favorite Sandwich?

So I am really bad with coming up with QOTW so I know this is a lame one! lol  But i craved nothing but Subway my whole first tri so I suppose that is why I chose it.  -- Mine... so hard... wow.... My go to is a roasted chicken from subway... but I really like the Italian from Potbelly and I also really like the buffalo chicken from Which Wich... Either way I think we are having sandwiches for dinner! :)

  • I'm still in the hospital.  I do get 30 minute wheel chair rides now though!  So I have gotten to see my dog 2x :)  She was super excited but not as excited as me :)  Baby is doing great.  We have a daily NST and every time he is doing fantastic.  Next ultrasound is Monday.  They aren't sure if I have a high rupture or not so we will know Monday based on the ultrasound and fluid.  If It is ruptured I will deliver at 34 weeks.  If not they will reassess.  Not sure what that means......Overall I'm in pretty good spirits.  Some days are better than others.  It's just really hard every day hearing about how I delivered our angel, or the bereavement team coming in.

  • How far along are you? almost 31 weeks
Upcoming appointments? doctor appointment this Friday
Any updates to share?  Officially have gestational diabetes.  Have been doing finger sticks 4x a day and almost all my readings are under 100 because I've completely quit all non veggie and fruit carbs.  I'm nervous to talk to the doctor friday about what risks this means for me and baby.  Also, went to a breastfeeding class last night and she basically said risk factors for not being able to breast feed are PCOS, gestational diabetes and having used IVF to get pregnant.  I have all three.... awesome.
How are you feeling?  Tired, huge, emotional..... I can't believe I'm this pregnant and have to eat an atkins-like diet.  I just want a milkshake and 12 hours of sleep.

QOTW:  What is your favorite Sandwich?  Sandwiches are a thing of the past for me- not allowed now.  I love a good grilled cheese with tomato :-)

    IVF #1 Oct 2013- cancelled
IVF #2 Mar 2014- success.... baby girl born 11/28/14
FET #1 Mar 2016- baby boy due 12/16/16

  • @Ashris13 Yes!  They actually scheduled me really early in my pregnancy - I was actually kind of shocked when I got the phone call!  They originally put me in for 11/25, but that would mean spending Thanksgiving in the hospital so I requested Monday, 11/24 and they were able to move me.  So as long as everything goes well, I'll be discharged on Thanksgiving which I think is good for DS.  I even got to pick the Dr who will do my surgery.  One plus of a CS!  (Also, 11/25 is my niece's bday so it was nice that they'll each have their own day instead of sharing a bday.)

Update:  I'm 31w4d today.  Feeling pretty good, just exhausted.  I had a regular OB appointment last week and everything looks good.  DS came to the appointment and was able to hear the heartbeat - his face was priceless!  Kind of like "wtf, there is something in there?!"

QOTW:  I'm dying for an Italian combo from a deli near home.  It was actually the meal we picked up on the way home from the hospital with DS, so I might be doing the same thing this time!

  • Hey everyone.  @Ashris13 My husband is bad with medical type stuff too, he's said before, I don't know if I can make it through if you need a c-section.  Um, excuse me, you don't know if *you* can make it through the surgery that *I* would be having?  My mom will be our dogsitter and our house is a mile from the hospital so barring an extreme emergency, hopefully she could get there fast as a stand-in.  Will you have anyone else there to help if he passes out?  Lol.

How far along are you?  35w1d
Upcoming appointments?  Next week I'll have the GBS test, hoping it's negative.
Any updates to share?  We chose our pediatrician finally, and I have an appt with a lawyer next week to talk about wills.  Also I have a shower at work today!
How are you feeling?  Increasingly uncomfortable, more feet swelling, pain in feet, knees, hands, etc.

QOTW:  What is your favorite Sandwich?  I really like caprese paninis.

    Baby boy arrived 11/13/14!

  • Thanks for a GREAT check-in as always, @ashris13. The shower in Texas was GREAT. I don't live there anymore but my family is all there and I went to college in Texas (Wreck'em Tech) so my family and college friends were at the shower.  They literally bought 1/3 of our registry and I still have two more showers so I am frantically trying to think of what else we might need!

How far along are you?  31w4d

Upcoming appointments?  We have a meeting with a potential pediatrician next Monday, but no OB appts for another week or so.

Any updates to share?  Nothing terribly exciting other than our shower over the weekend.  October is going to be busy for us with maternity pictures, birthing and breastfeeding classes, every two week OB appts, plus growth scans with the MFM, and two more showers.

How are you feeling?  Feeling pretty good.  I am having some random dizzy spells, and my sciatic nerve hurts on and off, but overall, I can't complain.

QOTW:  I am boring.  I like ham and cheese with mayo.  OR PB&J which is my new craving these days.  I eat them for almost every meal right now.  mmmmmmm, now I want one.

Any updates to share? The nursery is finally plastered and painted!  We are fixing the molding around the door, and then it will be ready for furniture!  Some family and friends from out of town will be staying with us on the 18th for my shower, so we will hopefully get some stuff assembled shortly after.  I can't wait for it to all come together.
How are you feeling? I'm feeling ok, heartburn/nausea seems to be in full swing.  I had such an easy first trimester, I think the little guy is making up for it now.

QOTW:  My favorite sandwich is pretty boring.  Ham, American cheese, L/T/M.  I have already made it know that I want one brought to me in the hospital after I deliver.  I think the only reason I really crave it is because I haven't had one the entire pregnancy.

  • Thanks for a great check in @ashris13!  We couldn't knock it all out on a weekend day due to our schedules so we have to do the 4 week class (4 nights for 2 hours each night).  I think he's a little overwhelmed to say the least, but I think he is happy he doesn't have to physically go through all the pain.  He's still nervous about getting the TDAP shot later today!  Haha.  I'm like, do you realize all of the needles I've stuck in me to get us to this point?!

How far along are you?  32+1 today!
Upcoming appointments?  We have our 32 week appointment later today, followed by our second prepared childbirth class.  We also are doing a meet and greet with our potential pediatrician tomorrow.  I hope we like her!
Any updates to share?  Nothing really, baby girl is moving around a lot.  We also have our maternity pictures this weekend and the weather is looking beautiful!  Still waiting on our furniture....lovely.
How are you feeling?  Just super tired really.  I'm not really to that super uncomfortable stage yet, so that's good.

QOTW: What is your favorite Sandwich?  It's from Potbelly's - grilled chicken and cheddar with all the fixings :)

How are you feeling? Aside from the pain, great! My shower is this week...crazy!

QOTW:  What is your favorite Sandwich? I don't know if it's always been my favorite, but since I'm 100% avoiding cold cuts I cannot get my mind past a reuben. I want one. Now. So I already arranged for my brother in law to bring one to the hospital for me :)

  • Hi all!
    Hope everyone is doing well!

Our classes are going well. I get a little depressed afterwards because I  and the teacher are usually non-pregnant women in the room. I am just ready for a time when no one can tell that our child's birth was different than the "normal".
I hope I don't sound ungrateful, Fall is just difficult because I have had a loss in 2012 and 2013 during the Fall.

We will be 35/35 on Friday and have another Dr. appointment tomorrow.

  • @ashris13 as always thanks for the great check in! I'll second that my DH is not good with medical stuff. He is honestly hoping for a C-section so it is planned, taken care of, and he can just be in the back ground (not seeing anything). He gave me a funny look when I asked if he'd cut the cord.

@lincoln79 lots of (((hugs))) to you.

AFM. . I'm 34 weeks. Upcoming appointments: I go in every Wednesday for weekly appointments.

Updates: At my growth scan baby A was measuring 5.13 lbs and baby B was 4.83 lbs. My NST today went well. Baby A was super active and they had to come back and re-position his monitor so they could hear his heartbeat. They were concerned when I came in with high blood pressure, so they monitored me throughout and it went down. The doc didn't bring it up, so I'm hoping last week was some sort of fluke. I've also been trying to keep my feet elevated more than normal and just 'taking it easy'. Personally, I've noticed the swelling on my left side go down, so I'm hoping these small modifications are doing something.

Feeling: Big, swollen, tired, and tough to get comfortable. Sleep seems to be a thing of the past, which I'm really, really sad about.

QOTW: I've been eating grilled cheese (splurging & buying Beecher's cheddar cheese. . yum!) sandwiches or bacon & tomato (getting the last of the fresh tomatoes from the Farmers Market).

We are expecting a baby girl and my EDD is 12/24.

How far along are you? I am 28 weeks today. I have no clue where time went.

Upcoming appointments? I will see my OB again at 30 weeks. From there on out, she wants to see me every two weeks, but start weekly at 34 with non-stress tests. She said it's because of my age and the fact that we lost one of our babies. She is very proactive and wants to make sure the placenta keeps chugging right along.
How are you feeling? I'm feeling like everything is very surreal right now. Everyone wants to talk about baby stuff and most of the time I'm annoyed with it because I haven't yet wrapped my own head around the fact that we're having a baby. When baby stuff comes in the mail, I just stare at it and it feels like I'm faking it. I'm not really sure that this feeling will go away before we meet her, as it seems like I'm just protecting my emotions at this point. I absolutely cannot wait to meet her, it just is very scary to get excited at this point.

QOTW:  What is your favorite Sandwich? I LOVE ham, cheddar, and potato chips on a white bun. My uncle used to make these all the time when I was little and even though my tasted have hopefully matured from my childhood, this is still one amazing sandwich!!

Upcoming appointments? Monday is my next growth scan to see if the growth discordance has gotten any worse.
Any updates to share? I have been doing exercises and going to the chiropractor to try to get them to turn. I don't think they have but they have been moving around and putting in an effort so we will see for sure Monday. Also, our baby shower is Sunday, so that's exciting but nobody has RSVPed and nothing has been bought off our registry yet so idk how it will turn out.
How are you feeling? My hips are really sore and not doing emotionally great, going from wanting a completely natural birth to thinking about a c-section is difficult. Plus the worry about my babies is killing me but the movement is so reassuring so it's helping.

QOTW: What is your favorite Sandwich?
The Sierra Turkey from Panera :) I like it on the three cheese bread though, now I really want one. I get chicken breast instead of turkey when I'm pregnant though.

  • @Ashris13‌ Thanks for the great check in. Sorry I missed last week's check in. Crazy week, and I mobile bump. The new update was working weird. I had planned to check in lap top but never got around to it.

So many updates, I am an aunt again! MY sister had her baby girl Saturday before midnight (I lost the pool by 22mins!) She is beautiful!

I am 37 weeks tomorrow!!! We had an appointment Friday, talked to doc about babies size and he said he didn't want to let him get too big. After growth scan we would talk options. Tuesday my Lil guy measured 7.11lbs!!! He is going to be a big boy! So Friday we meet with Doc again. I c ant wait to see what the plan is!

Work has been stressful. I have been trying to get everyone ready but new girl isn't working out so well. I feel bad for my assistant who is taking over for me. I'm due 10/23 and planned to work til 10/17. I'm not sleeping well these days and With the stress of work I told them my last day will be 10/10. I love my job but I am looking forward to the time off.

    QOTW:
I love sandwiches! I miss cold cuts! I have already requested that my 1st meal be a roast beef and provalone hoagie with mayo & vinegar, tomato, salt, pepper & oregano. I would also like a raspberry snapple.

Throughout my pregnancy has been American cheese, mayo, and pickles.
Me: 33 - PCOS & Hypothyroidism DH: 35 - SA is good Married since 2010 (together since 2006) TTC since June 2009 (we knew we would have issues and wanted family right away after we got married). No pregnancies yet. May 2013 - started first round of Chlomid & ovidrel cycle.

Hi mommas of 3rd tri! Thanks @Ashris13 for another great check-in. Your poor DH, lol. He must not have seen the infamous "the miracle of childbirth" video in school!

    How far along are you?
     I'm 30 weeks + 4 days

Upcoming appointments? We have our regular OB appointment this Friday

Any updates to share? Baby girl was measuring 3lbs 13oz at our last grown scan last week - crazy to think there's a half-sized baby in there! Other than that, the GD has been really annoying, and left me really cranky for a lot of last week but this week has been better. I'm beginning to find things that I enjoy eating - my only pet peeve is the limit of fruit in my diet. I also ordered our baby furniture today! We're doing a pretty neutral light french gray set for her nursery, with just small pops of color from the rug, and artwork.

How are you feeling? Some days are okay, other days are good. Just 5 more weeks of work before I'm off for leave. It's also been harder to get a really good night's sleep since 3-4am seems to be when she's most active.

QOTW: What is your favorite Sandwich? Grilled cheese with tomato soup. :)

    I hope everyone has a great week/weekend!

How far along are you? 31w1d

Upcoming appointments? I had an appointment yesterday, my next one is 10/17.

Any updates to share? Still sleeping poorly. I toss and turn a lot but as long as I don't have to get up to pee in the middle of the night I can usually fall back asleep without much trouble.

How are you feeling? Uncomfortable. :-) I feel like my internal organs are being squished all the time and my hip joints hurt. I officially waddle when I walk all the time. My heartburn/indigestion is still there. Nothing has really been able to completely get rid of it. Everyone in my house is sick but I've been doing a good job of staying away from them and keeping my hands washed so luckily I haven't gotten anything yet. I'm getting a cold sore though, which is usually a sign of an impending cold. Boo to that.

We didn't do any work on the nursery last weekend. The weather was so nice that we wanted to get some family time in outside. So we went to a local dog friendly event on Sunday. This weekend we are definitely painting though. I'm making an effort to get everything out of the nursery this week so we can paint Saturday or Sunday.

QOTW:  What is your favorite Sandwich? I love a good turkey sandwich with mayo, lettuce and tomato. When not pregnant I love to put sprouts on my sandwich too. There's a local sandwich shop that specializes in turkey sandwiches and they roast and slice their own turkey on site so I've been getting my turkey sandwich cravings satisfied there.

     TTC since August 2011, Me = 40, DH = 38
Unexplained IF. Tried Clomid for 3 cycles. All BFNs. BFP 1/6/13. Chemical pregnancy.

Moving on to IVF#1. ER 11/26/13, 16 eggs retreived, 12 mature and all fertilized. 2 blasts transferred on 12/1. All other embies arrested so nothing left to freeze. Beta 12/10 = BFN. IVF #2 March 2014. BFP!!! TEAM BLUE!!!

    Today I am 29w5d.

    Upcoming appointments?
My next checkup is October 17

    Any updates to share?
Nothing really since my check in earlier this week.  I've been following my GD diet and I stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down almost 4 lbs.  Scares me a bit since I have only gained 10 pounds so far.  I have a call in to my midwife. Ohhh - and I'm attending a huge baby consignment sale tonight  - first time moms get in early!

    How are you feeling?
Awesome.  Excited.  Anxious and ready to shop!

QOTW - What is your favorite sandwich?
If I'm making it, it's either a PBJ or BLT.
If I'm going out and getting a sandwich, I love Potbelly and Firehouse Subs and can eat just about anything off of their menus.
Married on October 20, 2012.  Began trying in January 2013.
RE appointment & testing December 2013 - February 2014= Unexplained IF, possible endometriosis
IUI#1- March 22 (100mg clomid, 75 mg of Bravelle, Ovidrel trigger) = BFP!!!

  • Hi, @Ashris13‌ - my husband cringes at the sight of blood. Hoping he doesn't pass out. Updates - I had my weekly appointment on Monday. Scan went well. Fluid was at 15. How do I feel? Shortness of breath and becoming harder to go on my walks. Mostly feeling great. For the past 2 days I have been having palpitations which come and go. I have to ask the doctor about it. QOTW - at home, my favorite sandwich is American cheese, mint chutney and cucumbers on whole wheat bread. Store bought I love a Mediterranean sandwich called Crisp Africa from CRISP. It has falafels, sweet potatoes, lettuce, corn, cherry tomatoes and peanut sauce in pita bread.

Hey, all! Thanks for thinking of me @Ashris13 and @indianaalum‌ (@Ashris13 - did you see we are fantasy football opponents this week - I have a feeling I'm going to lose!) Work has been busier than normal. I've been trying to get stuff in line for my maternity leave (hoping to make it through October, though).

    How far along are you?
32 weeks (tomorrow). Close enough, right? Measuring 36 weeks

    Upcoming appointments?
Just got home from an appointment and found out -- SURPRISE! -- the twins have flipped to a vertex position! You'd think I'd be excited that I have a chance for a vaginal birth, but I am now flippin' (no pun intended) terrified. My husband said the look on my face when we found out they flipped was priceless. I admit it, I'm kind of a control freak and I liked the idea of having a C-section and knowing exactly what was going to happen. There's so many "What Ifs" in vaginal delivery...and it can still end in a C-section after all of that. I'm feeling a little better now that I've talked to the doctor and, while he supports my decision to try for a vaginal birth if they are still in position, he also supports me if I want a C-section. Just knowing that I have the option makes me feel better. I will have some things to think about in the next few weeks.

    Any updates to share?
Pretty much just everything I said -- oh and Twin A is measuring 3lb 10oz and Twin B is measuring 4lb 7 oz. I have my final baby shower coming up on the 18th (thrown by MIL). The nursery is done (including organizing the closet). We really have everything we need and are at least physically ready for babies.

    How are you feeling?
I am so ready to be done. Despite holding up well (I'm a freaking baby carrying champ apparently?), my body feels like it is done. I am so tired all the time. My feet swell at the end of the day. I can't figure out if I need to pee or not half the time. I just want my normal back.

QOTW: What is your favorite Sandwich?
    Grilled cheese.

Sleeping is starting to get rough and I always wake up between 5-530 so they say that's probably going to be one of her normal wake up times that means! My shower is next weekend so I'm really excited about that!

I love PBJ, grilled cheese, and italian subs!!! I've been dying to eat Italian subs again so I pretty much told everyone that if they come to visit me in the hospital to come with one lol!

  • Sorry for the late check in, 29w4d today. Next appt is Friday 10/10. I believe after that I'll start seeing my OB every two weeks, crazy!

I feel good overall. Still sleeping pretty well except for increasing frequency of leg cramps. Appetite has been weird, some days I want to eat everything while other days I get full easily. I've been trying to eat more dairy because baby needs more calcium in the last months of pregnancy.

LO is kicking a lot! Sometimes I just sit there and watch my belly move. DH saw it for the first time and he jumped! It was funny.

QOTW: my favorite sandwich is from Panera Bread. It's the Asiago steak sandwich. The horseradish mayo they use is amazing. It used to be asiago roast beef and right when I found out I was pregnant they changed it. It worked out well cuz the steak is cooked and okay to eat.
    Pregnant with #2

FET #2-BFP baby girl born Dec 2014
