Hi ladies!

This check-in is open to anyone that is part of the SAIF community and is currently TTC again, either on their own, or via injectibles, IUI, IVF, adoption, etc. 

A check-in will be posted every week. Please reply to the check-in post if you would like to be added to the group. Each check-in will provide the opportunity for you to provide an update as to where you currently are in your TTC. 

 

Once you get pregnant please post about your first and second beta then move over to the pregnancy check in.

QOTW:   What talent do you wish you had? Be able to do stunts on a dirt bike?

Jessylane8- 9/10-AF came yesterday so moving on to cycle #4. 

 

MrsAmyDylan-9/17- We are on vacation at the beach in NC right now. I just got AF a few hours ago...awesome for beach vacation. I procrastinated making my appointment with the RE when we return, so I'm trying not to think about it and enjoy my vacation. 

 

Richzep-9/24 AF came on Saturday.  We had great timing but another BFN. Onto another cycle.

Chiwifey-9/24 Started testing for LH surge today. Should get it this weekend/Monday and will start estrogen and ganirelix 10 days later. Then stims start with CD 1 in mid Oct. I can't believe it's getting so close! 

emwaiting – 6/18We are currently off all meds and just seeing what will happen on our own.  Praying for that little miracle to happen.  You know be one of those that can say "it will happen when you quit trying!" ha  I will be 6 wks tomorrow from my last period so that is frustrating that it won't come on it's own.  If it isn't here in another week then they will do a blood test to make sure I'm not prego and then do the meds to start my period.  Kinda hard to have that miracle without my period or ovulating.  We had to do IVF to get our DS so we are thinking we will have to go down that road again so time to save $$ again!  

fullfhope –9/24 first beta was Wednesday and was 68, positive, but fairly low and the nurse kept asking about bleeding and cramping, so of course I spent next 48 hours stressing and googling betas, today's was 229! Things are looking good, I go again on Tuesday. 

 

itsmevkb -8/20- We did the transfer last Monday of our one little frosty and everything went smoothly.  Yesterday I tested and got a positive.  I'm literally shaking typing that out.  I'm scared.  Scared of something going wrong, scared of having a crappy beta on Wednesday, scared of where in the world we're fitting another baby into our house, scared of just everything both good and bad.  

JBDamonm-9/17- Nothing new here. AF showed up late last night- this morning.... Hoping to start my Lupron with this cycle. 

 

Julie21613-9/24 AF arrived on Sunday so started BCP.  Will take for 2 weeks then wait for some sort of spotting.  Am doing the micro dose lupron this cycle.  I hear you @stl34, this will be my 6th fresh IVF cycle....I'm terrified but excited at the same time.  

 

KDR19179-7/16 I haven't been on the bump in awhile because I have been busy with the twins and work, but we are in the process of going back for our single frozen embryo. We don't tell many people IRL when we are going through IVF cycles, so I would love to talk about it somewhere! CD day 1 was July 10, I saw the RE on Monday. I'm taking estradiol 2mg 3x daily. I go back on 7/21 for an ultrasound and blood draw. The embryo transfer is scheduled for 7/28. We only have 1 embryo left and it has about a 65% chance of surviving thaw. If it survives thaw, it has a 27-30% chance of pregnancy. I love swimming, but don't get to do it much. I never thought I would want a pool until we had kids. If we had a pool, I think I would swim every day in the Summer!

 

 

mnj05 – 9/24 We have 4 frozen embryos and I am so excited about that! We didn't get any last time around and had only one blast so this is beyond my expectations. I had my baseline appointment for the FET yesterday and am good to go. I start estradiol tomorrow, next u/s is October 8, and transfer is scheduled for the 15th! RE wants to transfer just one so that's what we're going with.

 

MoFree –9/17- My 3 surviving embryos had PGD performed and I should have the results next week. The waiting game is really getting to me and I'm finding this wait to be more stressful than the 2ww in my 1 fresh and 2 FET cycles.

 

Pam MG – 9/10-Got our calendar to start IVF with testing in November! Just hanging out until then praying for a miracle so I can get my money back.

 

Phishgirl29- 9/24 I went in this morning for blood work and ultrasound and I have 1 follie measuring 14 and have to come back to check again tomorrow. They think I'm going to trigger on Sunday and start my progesterone then and have the FET on Friday 8/3. My last transfer was on a Friday and it was successful so I'm getting excited. 

 

Pinkmickey24-9/17 Cycle 3 is underway. Going to sit down and chat with DH about when we should return to the RE. I want to cycle August/September again because a May/June baby if all works out is much nicer on a teacher's schedule, but I would be grateful for a baby at anytime in the year.

 

Racheyt0227-9/24 I have 1 last check on Fri & then my FET is this Sat! We will only be transferring 1 embryo (same as last IVF cycle). I'm taking a plethora of pills now & my PIO started yesterday. 

 

Run20K-9/24My beta confirmed my BFNs on Monday. I'm now waiting for AF to start so I can move onto a FET with my final embryo. On the bright side, I have a good 8 weeks to lose a few lbs, which makes me happy.

 

trigirl79 – 9/24 AF came early but we were able to salvage the cycle. Went for CD3 testing last Friday, Clomid days 3-7, and back this AM for CD9 testing. 3 follies (15.4,15.2 on the right, 10.9 left) lining 7.2 (OK, not great). Bravelle tonight, monitoring again on Sat with IUI sometime next week. 

WadzFaith-9/24-We will be starting IVF #2 to TTC#2. We are doing what my fertility center calls the long Lupron protocol. I am starting shots tomorrow evening. Putting ER and ET mid October.

Efhoping2010-9/17-We are definitely moving and FAR for DH's new job.  But we will have actually have health benefits no more private insurance YAY.  Hoping this includes some kind of IVF coverage, IVF medicine coverage, IVF pretesting, PESA coverage, something?????  Praying we can have our ODWU IVF #4 pretesting after we move, so maybe November????

 

STL34-9/24 I'm sorry it has been a while since my last check-in.  We went on vacation last week and the week before and after were crazy.  I had a second opinion consult at the end of August and was pretty happy with the new RE's receptiveness to immune treatments.  But, I still have some reservations with protocol and timing (and finances).  Even so, I put a deposit down yesterday.  I have another consult on Tuesday to get everything situated.  It looks like suppression (we will be doing a long antagonist protocol) will start near the end of October!!  Please tell me I am not crazy for trying fresh IVF #6.  I am feeling a little crazy at the moment.

 

Second opinion appointment is August 29!!  I'm hoping things go well with this RE!!

 

Bellalou – 6/18 Aiming for a fresh cycle on the house in October.

 

Kaf7-9/24 DH decided for us that we are doing IVF 3. I am still not convinced particularly because I will have to take a month off work when I am our sole source of income. And I am having a hard time imagining cycling again. But I did my cd 3 bloodwork. I have to get sit swabs and a SIS. Then I need to be on DHEA for 3 months before I start on a long agonist protocol....so earliest we can try is February with Christmas closure and our own commitments in January. I am really anxious about figuring out work around this. Especially because DH doesn't want me telling my secretary what we are doing/why I need her to book me off for 3 weeks....and because my cycles run 24-33 days I have no real sweet clue what 3 weeks those should be and I am currently booking appointments for January right now....ugh. I am still not sure this is a ride I want to be on.

SAIF Lurker timidly stepping forward!: DH and I are somewhat trying for #2. DS is only 2 mos old today, and while I'm breastfeeding I realize our chances are low (no AF yet) but we aren't preventing. DS took 5 years and was a surprise during our adoption wait. We hope to be lucky and have an unmedicated BFP as we aren't up for any interventions. If not, we'll revisit our adoption plan when DS is 18 mos (per our agency's rule).

QOTW: I wish I had a fun talent of some sort, maybe being able to ski. The one time I tried I flew down the bunny slope and could not stop and ended up stuck in the spider position with a wet butt. The second time down did not go any better.

Still on estradiol, bumping up to 3 times a day Friday, next lining check is a week from today.

QOTW: I would love to improve on my dancing talent if that counts. I haven't danced in nearly 10 years and would love to get back to it.

I will be ordering meds for IVF #6 soon and will get my calendar next week!  I will be doing a long antagonist cycle (Ganirelix) starting a week after ovulation.  They are going to have me on Ganirelix for a while before we start stims.  I'm praying that the extended Ganirelix use (they are trying to fit me into a batch cycle without BCPs) will not hurt our chances.  A big part of my can't believe we are going this again!  

QOTW:  I wish I were musical (that I had a pretty singing voice and could play multiple instruments - piano, guitar, harp, and violin - I can play the flute but cannot carry a tune when I sing).

I am going for my CD 21 bloodwork on Tuesday and if all goes well I'll start Lupron that night. Just waiting on the pharmacy to call me back with the costs of my meds and set up delivery.

QOTW - I wish I could play the piano or do gymnastics.

Still on BCP till Saturday...then wait for some sort of spotting to occur....and will start Lupron that night.  Hoping to start Lupron Tues or Wed.  Will go in for b/w & u/s day after spotting begins.  Can't believe fresh cycle #6 is upon us!

QOTW: Really wish I took my mom's advice and took piano lessons.  Would love to be able to play.

4dpo. Taking progesterone again this cycle even though it's probably a waste. I am so ready to go back to the RE.
QOTW: I wish I was better at decorating. I can do big stuff like paint colors and furniture but I have a hard time with accessories and art work. Same goes for clothes, I have a hard time finishing the look with accessories.

I start my Lupron shots tonight, then waiting for my period to go for baseline (probably around 8th or 9th).
We are not telling as many people this time around so I feel like I am going to burst.

QOTW: I wish I were able to sing, like Carrie Underwood and make millions from it!

We officially scheduled with the RE on 10/20. That will be approximately CD6, so I don't know if I should call and see if they want to do a blood draw on 10/17 (CD3), so our doc will have more info for our consult.

Talent: a legitimate talent, I wish I could speak multiple languages. A super hero talent would be to fly or teleport (I freaking hate all the time I waste in the car or otherwise traveling).

I start Lupron next week in preparation for FET some time in mid-November. We still have not decided whether to transfer both embryos or just one.

As of Sunday 2 good follies on the right, a few smaller on the left. Triggered with IUI Tuesday. Sperm count 29 million, motility 89%. Beta on 10/15...so now I wait and hope!

Nothing new here. Have an appointment on Monday with my GP to get my STI testing done and see if we can arrange a sis locally. I am putting off calling the pharmacist about what dose of DHEA they want me on...I need to be on it for a few months before I cycle but I don't want to be on it longer than I have to so I am trying to time it just right. Plus I am hormental even without any meds on board. Did anyone else know that PMS can get worse in your early 30s?? QOTW: I am not sure this is really a talent but I just got home from a meeting that left me wishing I was a more witty and eloquent speaker.

I am 33 and the PMS is horrible after DS. Honestly thought people were over reacted until now.
