Can't sleep

Hi ladies. I'm having a bit of insomnia. After my m/c earlier this month I decided I should get my root canal fixed before getting pg again. I went in for a consult on Monday and had the beginning of a cold so became nervous during the visit and decided to postpone procedure until next week when hopefully my cold will be gone. I get anxious on medical procedures and I wasn't feeling well so breathing through a stuffy nose made me more freaked out. Now I just saw that my insurance won't cover the consult so that's OOP all on me. We are struggling a bit financially as I am not working so it's tough. I hope I can psych myself up to get the procedure done next week. I know it's best to get it done before getting pregnant and while we need to wait might as well get it done. I'm still trying to deal with it all especially the m/c. My DH tells me not to worry because worrying whether we will have another child won't do any good. It's just hard. Thanks for letting me vent at 4am. Hopefully I can fall back asleep soon.

I am having more trouble worrying over the thought if getting the root canal done as well as the cost. I wish I could find some part time employment to help pay. I know I just need to get it dove because it would be more dangerous to get pregnant and possibly get an infection from an untreated tooth.

I can't help with the insomnia, but maybe I can help ease your anxiety a little bit. I had a root canal about a year ago, and I understand the fear, because of all the horror stories from years back, but it's really nothing these days. I brought my headphones to play music for myself, and kept my eyes closed, because I can't stand to see what they put in my mouth, but it was really almost the same as getting a filling done!
