Who else was TERRIFIED before the A/S

I have not been here in a long time but I need help!! I am 19 week pregnant with our total surprise bfp! With my previous pregnancy I had u/s every other week so I always knew the babies were ok. This time I am a normal pregnant lady and have had one u/s. My anatomy scan is next week and I have to say I am terrified. Like to the point where I am emotionally exhausted worrying about what could be wrong and how awful it would be to be half way through a pregnancy thinking everything is fine and in an instant find out something devastating! Im sure my raging hormones don't help, but someone tell me I am not totally crazy.. Or maybe tell me I am crazy and I need to stop worrying. I just feel kind of overwhelmed and alone. Dh says why borrow worry when everything will be fine. I know that's his way of helping but it doesn't lol. Thanks for listening, Im sure I just babbled on about nothing but I had to get it off my chest!!

How exciting! Congrats!! As far as the a/s goes, DH was a total wreck. I thought he was going to throw up on the way to the appointment. He couldn't even drive because he felt so shaky. I was nervous, but not like my husband! But, I get what you are saying about the number of ultrasounds. I had 20 with the boys- I don't know how I'd handle a singleton pregnancy! I suppose you just have to remember that you are just a normal pregnant lady this time around!

hi, i am a first-time poster here, i used to post on secondary IF. i am extremely paranoid waiting for my first ultrasound tomorrow. i have convinced myself that there won't be a heartbeat because the pregnancy symptoms i was experiencing have all gone away. it is so stressful and un-fun. i just want to get it over with and know.

Waves hello!!! Those Drs make us crazy! Even if there are markers they don't always mean anything. They found three during my a/s and convinced us to have the amino. Turns out nothing is wrong with our baby boy at all! He is doing just fine. You'll do great and so will baby!

Wille!!!  So happy to see you!  It's totally normal to be completely terrified.  It is so weird to go from being special to not special.  The odds are highly in your favor for everything to be totally fine.  There is a possibility of something not being okay, but if that is the case, you will figure it out.  Just take things one day at a time.  Try to do whatever helps you relax -- say a prayer, take some deep breaths, do some prenatal yoga.  GL with your a/s.  You'll be in my T&P.

YES! I always envied the people in my life who looked at it purely as gender reveal day instead of make sure everything is ok day. I know it's hard not to worry, but I tried to remember that my worrying myself sick wasn't helping. I am finding this time I'm worrying less because I'm too busy to think about it, whereas with DS I was laying on the couch all the time with nothing to do but obsess. I hope you can find peace and have a great a/s waiting for you. GL!

Thanks ladies. I feel better just knowing I am not alone it in!! Im sure everything is fine and I have no reason to believe anything is wrong! Cant wait to see my little baby!
