Hello newbie here.. but after reading a lot of helpful advise wanted to see if I would have such luck. I am trying to convince my spouse that going for baby #3 is a great idea at age 38. We now have a 2 beautiful healthy sons(after 2 very early spontaneous miscarriage). The eldest a 10 year old who is perfectly behaved and the newest a 2 year old whose ideal of chaos is having a good time. As we have not gotten the 2 year old to settle into our laid back routine, and my husband has a new business venture he is working extremely hard to get off the ground; he is not convinced now is a good time...or maybe ever. However he is willing to adopt a 3+ year old little girl down the road. Don't get me wrong I am all for adoption too-- but my uterus is telling me one more for the road! How do I convince my hard working husband that this is a good idea now because tomorrow may be too late. Or should I see things his way and settle into mommy retirement? My inclination is to get him on my page of this book...but how??
Welcome! I'm sorry you're in such a tough position. I agree that this probably isn't the best time for indecisiveness. Things change so fast at our age! If egg freezing isn't an option, maybe getting some basic blood work would at least give you and DH an idea of how much time you have to work with?

Welcome - I agree with PP that your fertility changes so fast at this age but I also agree that trying to get him onto your page isn't the best foundation. How long until this new business venture starts to take shape? I know anything could happen BUT maybe giving it 2-4 months will let him get things a little further along and then you can revisit the topic? Just an idea...
Re: Why not do it again?
