  • The day of our ET, which was a day 5 transfer, the RE told us we had one blast, two more that were behind and three more that were even further behind. We didn't have much hope we'd have any to freeze since all but one were lagging on day 5. The day after our transfer we received notice that 3 of those had prgressed to very high quality blasts and they froze them! I'm not sure what actual stage they were at on our day 5, but I know at least one of them was pretty far behind and it caught up enough by the next day to freeze! So there's definitely hope!

  • @SoontobeCote‌ we experienced this during our last cycle. We did ER on 8/29 with 18 retrieved and 12 mature. 7 fertilized with ICSI. We were scheduled for ET on 9/3 at 0800 (2 hour drive to the clinic as well). When we arrived we were told we had 4 remaining embryos all in the morula stage. They suggested giving them an extra day to see if they would mature. I was crushed. I go ogled 6 day transfer all the way home! The next day the embryologist and doctor called to let us know one made it to blastocyst. It was graded an a and we implanted. Unfortunately we got a bfn but we went in with the strongest embryo that gave us the highest chance. I won't lie I was disappointed that we didn't have more to work with and/or freeze but that was out of our control by then. Our issues are severe mfi so I am worried about it happening again with our next cycle... good luck to you and your embies! Wishes for lots of growth headed your way!!!
  • I had a morula transferred on day 5, but unfortunately I got a BFN. My RE advised the chances of success with a morula are about 15% vs 30% for a blast. Sending some good luck wishes your way.

Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).
