Who has one?

Have you made you're own syrups?

I "borrowed" my mom's and I want to play around with some fruit syrups that are home made.  My hope is to make a big bottle of seltzer water with a little fruit flavoring to take to work on a daily basis.  I'm hoping this makes me drink more water versus soda or coffee.

I either put/squeeze some fresh fruit into it like lemons, limes, etc.  Or I bought theses:

That's why I'm thinking of making my own syrup.  

We tried the coke, and it was pretty good.

I'd really like to make a fruit flavored syrup to make my own italian soda.

I would give them an 8 out of 10.  I wasn't quite sure if I would like them in the beginning, but they have definitely grown on me.  The raspberry is my favorite!  They are nice to have to flavor the water when other things like fruit are not readily available.  FWIW I don't like the soda flavors at all.  Even the non-diet sodas have that fake sugar taste to me.

Completely agree with @abby8279‌ The "my water" flavors are decent but the soda flavors don't taste good to me. I just like adding fresh fruit to mine to get a little flavor. Favorite combo is lime and raspberry. You can even use frozen raspberries:)

This has now been added to my list.  I have frozen raspberries and I believe I have some limes at home.

I kind of want a soda stream just so I can make vodka sodas whenever I want without having to buy carbonated water.  But MH says it won't really save us money because you have to buy the CO2 cartridges and stuff.  Anyone?

The CO2 is stupid expensive, but its still way cheaper than bottled soda water


This is why I wanted it. I like the idea of being able to carbonate water and add what I want to it. Not so much making my own soda.

It depends on how much sparkling water you drink.  I drink a lot more water if it's carbonated than flat.  So in the long run it will save us money.  And I think that the water I make in the Sodastream tastes much better than store bought kind.  I have tried: Perrier, LaCroix, Ferrararelle, etc.  I also like that I don't have to worry about additives- some add sodium.  And there is less waste (recyclables).

I love regular water. We drink so much. I was never tempted by the sodastream because for us we'd go from spending $0 to the price for all sodastream supplies-and it creates tons of waste

We're boring. And I'm no help. Lol
