Road-testing the wallowing equation

OK, I'm 12 dpo on IUI #2, have been getting straight BFNs, and my temperature plummeted this morning.  So, here we go:

W = (A + O + 2X + 5 - L) + (5M)^2

I added the variable O.  It stands for "old," and because our odds get progressively worse and time is progressively less on our side, it adds an hour of wallowing time for every year of age after 35.

So I've been trying for 9 months, I'm 40 years old, my in-laws are going to be here all weekend (talking about my pregnant SIL), I did not win the lottery, and this was a medicated cycle.  The answer is....46 hours.  That should do it.

I'm having a rum and coke tonight.  (I'll drink it for @beckyp005!) :)

    Hugs to you @Davie813! I had a plummet this morning too - haven't done my math yet but I'll be wallowing right along with you, I think. I think it'll be red wine for me. And maybe some dark chocolate.

    Off Mirena Nov 2013, On Nuvaring end of Jan, Back off Sept 2014.  Never ending cycle starting end of Sept... 
    11/14 Provera failed... cycle continues 
    12/14 High FSH (57 "midcycle")  OBGYN had no clue... about anything 
    01/15 More lab results coming back from RE. U/S showed small (1")cyst on left ovary, thin lining, and couldn't locate right ovary so  possibly straight to DE and IVF 

    Occassionally mess with the chart below to see "what if" and learn (not to make it pretty but because FF stays drunk with me).

    Thanks, all.  It's OK.  I didn't think this cycle was going to pan out anyway--it was out of whack from the beginning.  Due to the way my doctor schedules things, I can't move on to IVF until December, but I will then.  We'll do one more IUI in the meantime because, hey, why not?

    @tmorash, I don't think a dip at 9 dpo means you're out.  Hopefully your temp rebounds tomorrow!
    @URMysunshine77, I'm sorry it wasn't your month either.

    A 9dpo dip in and of itself may not (and I appreciate the hopeful comment so much!), but combined with my quite regular 27-29 day cycle (I'm on day 28 today), I don't know how much hope there is. But there's always next time.

    I should add @Davie813 that I agree with PPs: round it up to 48 at least!

    I'm so sorry :( Hoping this ivf cycle in Dec is the one to bring home your baby. {HUGS} Yes have a drink for me. I'm so thankful to be PG but my gosh can I say I really miss my rum n cokes?

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
    Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

    My temp is also sliding down the hill and after spotting yesterday I'm sure AF will show her face tonight. Plus I agreed to babysit my 3 nephews tonight. I will be having a bottle of wine the second I get home.

    @Davie813 i'm so sorry this IUI cycle didn't work out!  HUGS!  i'll be re-vamping the wallowing thread myself on Sunday if/when AF shows.  Hang in there!
