Benjamin has been sitting quietly and listening to me read The Wind in the Willows for the past few weeks during his bedtime bottle. I read a lot as a kid, but wasn't read to very much. What books do you all like or remember fondly? I'm looking for more of the longer stuff, preferably with illustrations throughout.
I don't mind reading the short kids' books over and over and over during the day, but at bedtime I just can't do it. Most of the stuff I really remember is for early readers (Amelia Bedelia, Henry and Mudge) or Judy Blume type stuff. I'm loving The Wind in the Willows and that there have been 1-2 words every night that even I've had to look up!

I'll admit I did not read much as a kid, but I recall my mom reading Anne of Green Gables to me some.
@dmlk413 your book knowledge always impresses me!
-Anne of Green Gables series
-The Secret Garden (and Frances Hodgson Burnett's other books)
-Chronicles of Narnia
-Winnie the Pooh
For shorter books (but longer than board books):
-Miss Nelson is Missing
-Corduroy Series
-the longer Dr. Seuss books
-Berenstein Bears
Hi, vitafelix! I love reading bedtime stories to my niece whenever she stays over at my place. Here are a few that Benjamin might enjoy!
