Guise - DH is discovering that it's hard to do things with a baby at home. *-:)
DH: I was trying to do my resume yesterday, but A's all "Hey dad, look at my foot! This is my foot! Look I can reach it! Dad! Dad! Dad! Hey, look at me dad!"
Me: Yeah, he's not a lump anymore, he wants your undivided attention.
DH: You can't get anything done around the house when he's awake.

STUCK
I would have busted out with the oldie but goodie "No shit Sherlock"
You know what's the worst. When your H stays home with two kids and you come home to a clean house and dinner, and his attitude of "I don't know what you're talking about, kids and housework are easy."
I didn't know whether to be happy or to punch him.
I'm becoming a box addict. I got my Julep box today (nail polish). I painted my nails and of course Scarlett woke up from her nap while they were drying, so now I have smudged thumbnails from dealing with her. I have to redo them later. The polishes are darker than I thought they'd be, but I'm always good with colors I don't have, so yay.

WHAT?! Is he a super human? How is such a thing accomplished?!
I say he needs to do this 5 days in a row to prove for REAL that it's "easy."
Yea, I agree with Codypup. I feel like he got lucky here. Everyone can have a good day here and there, but there's no way it's that easy for him if he did it every.single.day.
Welp, it was 3 days in a row. So....not quite a full week but still put me to shame.
I'm convinced he used some sort of voodoo magic on the 3yr old or something.
Mr Because Tired got up at 4:30 am to go fishing again. I shouldn't complain, because it gets him and his annoying one line singing out of my house. But seriously? AND yesterday Mr Because Tired complained that he was, yes, tired, because "I got up at 4:30 yesterday morning" Oh really? 4:30 you say? I wonder what that's like? I haven't seen 4:30 am since... Oh right, every day! Douche
/end rant
Yay - I can commiserate with you when I get fishing widowed in the next few weeks
I took LO for a walk to the park (and by that I mean the park by the bakery so I could get a Danish. And by "a" Danish, I mean two. And cream puffs) I come home to find a puddle of dog puke on my new rug, and the sleeve from LO's Calvin Klein motorcycle onesie. Just the sleeve. So far I can't find the rest of it. Fucking dogs!!!
Just picked up W from daycare, where I saw she has a weird red rash thing around her mouth. It's very faint, but red enough that the director noticed when she said goodbye.
BLAH. She ate pineapple for the first time at lunch, so maybe the acidity? It doesn't look rash like. Just...kind of a splotchy red. Definitely doesn't look like the HFM she had in August.

I'm hoping it fades.
Something like that happened when DD had cinnamon - I think it just really irritated her skin. It faded within two hours. Take a pic of it so you can show your pedi if you need to bring it up to them
Good idea, thank you! It's almost so faint it's hard to get a photo. I'm going to keep an eye on it. I checked her all over, there isn't any other rash anywhere else, so at least that's good.
Driving home from MN today. Tried a pumpkin pie & apple pie blizzard (DH and I shared). Neither of us were all that impressed with the apple pie one, but the pumpkin one was awesome!
DD has been a trooper this whole trip. I am pretty impressed.
Now, to finish the trip (30 miles to go!) and get unpacked and put my house back together.

fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck. I think W has another ear infection. She was okay all evening but wouldn't go to sleep, which was weird. Then she started clawing at her ear and wouldn't let me lie her down flat. The minute I picked her up she passed out on my shoulder, but I put her down and she flipped.
She's in the swing, I'm sleeping on the couch.
OH and I have my sister now telling me I need counseling because I get "soooo anxious" about these situations. Thanks, that's helpful to me right now. She's also accusing me of being mean because I said "I just can't with this right now" to her suggestion that I seek professional help because I'm anxious that my child is not okay.
@Codypup (((hugs))) I hope W feels better, has no infections, and gets lots of sleep tonight! You are doing a great job flying solo and your sister is talking out her ass.
Guise. I came home from a meeting (that lasted 30 mins longer than it was supposed to), and our house went to hell in a handbasket. DH didn't feed LO solids, but gave him a 5oz bottle (that was intended for bedtime). LO was fussy; DH didn't know how to handle it. I'm kind of livid. I know it's hard, especially with a fussy baby. But to not even try the solids? Solids aren't really optional for my LO at this point. LO did eventually eat, but I'm just kind of irritated that things got this bad. I mentioned to DH that he needs to learn how to manage better when he and LO are home alone (and I cited the poop situation from Sunday). I don't want to hurt his feelings, but at some point I'm going to want to go away from my guys for more than 3 hours. I need to know that LO will be well-cared for and the DH won't be a major stress bucket who uses 7oz of milk in 3 hours.
In other happier news, I got an activity table for LO from CL. It's great, and it was so cheap! The woman I bought it from was so happy. LO loves it!
I moved her back upstairs and she's been asleep (flat!) for about an hour. I, on the other hand, am still too worked up about my sister for me to fall asleep. We never fight, so this sucks. I reacted, she reacted, it was just bad.
BLAH. I'm going to try sleep again, here's hoping tonight isn't a complete shit show.
just spent an hour rewriting my resume. mine was TOTALLY out of date. I totally feel good about myself right now though. I forgot everything i know how to do and that I'm good at! :-bd
my SIL is trying to get me a job at her accounting firm doing data entry that would be m-f 9-2!!! HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE!? so FX ! ahh I've NEVER had a m-f job! just the thought of it is so exciting.
I'm watching Little People, Big World where one of the kids is getting married and Amy the mom is wearing the same dress @Mevaroo bought for the wedding she went to. I have no idea why this is so exciting to me!!!

I was also thinking that $hellMoney needs a badge for her new-found fame, @mummypig.

This is the Carl I was picturing...
I hope you and T don't ever get it!

Today is too much for me. Got home at 4, leaving in 10 mins, won't be home until 8. Too much running, not enough LO.
