A new perspective swept over me as I was trying to decide what I wanted to do tomorrow. I had my last day at work Friday and my son is normally in preschool all day. All of a sudden I have some FREE TIME and I know that will be ending any day now! I was contemplating between: A. wrapping up my last freelance project and cleaning the house B. doing absolutely nothing possibly shopping and getting a mani C. having my son skip preschool and playing all day. As I was weighing the options, (and feeling incredibly lucky) I thought what if tomorrow is the last day before everything changes what would I not want to miss out on? I chose C! Can't wait for what could be the last true one on one time, for awhile, with my favorite little man. But as I looked back at the bigger picture I was grateful to have this perspective. It's not like I'm dying so hope this doesn't come off as doom and gloom. But this whole time I've focused on baby hurry up and get here and not enjoying the moment right now b/c it's all going to change at any minute. That applies whether pregnant or not really. Just thought I would share incase anyone else finds the reminder helpful. Carpe Diem ladies!

I've thought of this the last few days too. I'll have a special moment with my son and will think that this might be one of a few final ones that we'll share together before baby comes. It makes me appreciate them and appreciate the time I've had just with him even more!

Great choice! My last day before this LO, I got a pedicure in the morning and then spent the day with the kids. Best of both worlds! Enjoy your day, I hope it's awesome.

I'm almost in tears because I treasure my time with DD so much and this past weekend we were all alone because DH went out of town with his cousins. I can't believe that soon she will no longer be an only child ( and it's only been 1.5 years) but then I see her with her "friends" (stuffed animals and dolls) and think if she loves them so much, imagine how much she'll love a live baby!!
It's all soo exciting!!

My last day of work is 38+6. If I make it that far, I'll have roughly a week before my due date. I was hoping to take DS1 to the indoor pool or something fun like that and get a nice long pedi. Plus all the last minute crapola that has to be done around the house.
I'm glad you're getting to spend a full day of fun with your son. I'm still wondering how parents do it with two!
