Infant CPR classes

@caseinpoint scary ordeal reminded me that I need to get going on a CPR class soon.  I checked the Red Cross and there are no in-person classes, my only option is online.  Has anyone done it?  Would you recommend the online version or should I try to find an in-person class somewhere?  Does anyone know where else to find a CPR class other than Red Cross?  I'm in Michigan if that matters.

ETA: Found a class at the hospital LO was born at.  Still curious what people think of the online course if you've taken it.

It doesn't answer your question exactly, but we took a general baby safety class at the hospital as part of a prenatal class package. I learned a lot in those two hours. Now that J's on solids I should probably go back and review the literature they sent home with us.

Thanks, I signed up for the in-person one.  That's what I figured that it would be more beneficial by doing rather than watching.

I would definitely do in person versus online. I am really bad at remembering stuff like that and actually have to do it. We had someone come to Will's hospital room and teach us before he was discharged the first time. We are not actually certified but they said it didn't matter.

It might be a dumb question, but how is it possible to take a CPR class online? How does the evaluation work? In all the CPR classes I took in my life, for my lifeguard job or when my LO was born, we were evaluated on our skills - how and where to push, how fast, etc. It's great that this information can be found online, but if I'm paying to take a CPR class, I'm taking one in person for sure!
