Crampy= happy?

The first time I was pregnant I remember feeling crampy in the early parts of pregnancy which at the time really scared me. Nothing bad happened, and we had a healthy baby boy.
Now we're trying for baby #2 and we've been TTC for a few months. According to my calendar I should be ovulating starting yesterday, but I've been feeling really crampy all day.

Sorry if TMI but we've been trying pretty much every other day. So I feel we have a pretty good chance this month.

To my question, has anyone felt what feels like menstrual cramps when ovulating or right after conception?

I felt a slight cramping around ovulation like once (I only know what it was after temping confirmed ovulation and I was like "so that's why I was crampy") but it was nothing like period cramps. And it was honestly nothing I would have even noticed if I hadn't been tracking my ovulation, thus being a bit more in tune with what was going on with my body....

But like I said, that's happened, that I can remember, once... Other than that, the only cramps I get are period cramps

I feel like maybe you don't understand that ovulation takes about 15 minutes. It's not a "days" type of thing.

Also, no. Menstrual and ovulation cramps do not feel the same to me.

Yup.  Every month during O.  Also: take your BBT and ditch the ovulation calendars.  They are worthless.

I'm crampy during ovulation, during my period, during first trimester & if I eat beef. If I thought cramps = pregnancy I'd be pregnant quite often.

I have cramps during ovulation, during my period, and in the weeks between the two. I also had cramps almost the entire 9 months of pregnancy. I have had cramps for the last 3 weeks of my cycle, yet according to my bbt which I've taken the same time every day for the last six weeks, I haven't ovulated yet, so I'm clearly not pregnant.

OP, you might have ovulated yesterday. You might not. You might get pregnant this cycle. You might not. Symptom spotting will only serve to drive you crazy.
