For baby girl. I'm crushing on the name Ava but I have quite a few names in mind. FYI our last name is one syllable and rhymes 'ice".
Ava Marigold
Ava Juliet
Ava Linda
Other names I love:
Eliza
Scarlett
Tatiana
Evangeline
Myra (is this spelling correct?)
Aurora (would NOT work with last name but still love, DH's favorite)
I would prefer longer names with more than two syllables but as you can see, my list contains a few! I just like the sound of a longer first name when the last name is so short.
I also have a single syllable last name and prefer multi syllable first names. But I do have an exception we're considering. Ultimately if you love the name go with it! She'll probably change her last name someday anyway!
Ava Marigold- Like
Ava Juliet- Love
Ava Linda- Dislike, though I'm guessing this has some family significance
Eliza- Love
Scarlett- Like
Tatiana- Not a fan
Evangeline- Love
Myra (is this spelling correct?)- Dislike
Aurora- Love
Add:
Amelia
Aurelia
Cecilia
Julia
Emmanuelle
Valentina
Victoria
Magnolia
Josephine
Violet
Beatrix
Beatrice
Isobel/Isabel/Isabelle
Rosalie
Genevieve
Seraphina
I love that list with the exceptions of Victoria and Amelia. Linda is my grandma's name but it doesn't fit that well as a MN.
Re: Keep, Toss, Add
Ps I'm not a fan of Myra.
Precious baby boy "HC" born May 2013.

Ava Juliet - Keep / Love.
Ava Linda - Toss.
I do feel like Ava is incredibly common right now, I know 4 or 5 just within friends/family and hear it all the time here in East Texas.
Eliza - Keep (This is growing on me.)
Scarlett - Keep.
Tatiana - Toss.
Evangeline - Keep. So elegant!
Myra - Toss.
Aurora- Nms. But not terrible.
