I have an iPad and love it. I read on it, and it's a bit heavy but I'm used to that now. Do you have other Apple products in your house, like Apple TV? iPads are pricey though

i have an iPad and the bf an iPad mini. They are costly but are more user friendly IMO.  that being said, the droids are more customizable and better priced with a lot more options of which actual tablet to get.

either way, I'm an iPad fan.

Another vote for iPad. Love mine! That said -- H has a Nexus and really likes it. He prefers it to my iPad. I don't know why.

Can I just add that Apple TV is the shit. I love how I can just shoot my photos, movies, music etc straight to the TV. I've done it multiple times this week alone. I also plan to buy LO's movies on iTunes, not DVDs. We also watch YouTube on Apple TV. So if you like the idea of all that, another point for the iPad. If you don't, I did like my old Samsung Galaxy tab
