CM question

I'm having a hard time deciding how to chart this. When I checked cm earlier I had what I would call a blob of ewcm (if I'm being completely honest and over sharing it looked basically like a glob of gelatin), about the size of a dime or smaller. Everything else was what I would call sticky cm. I took an OPKs this morning and there was barely even a second line, it was a serious squinter. Do I go ahead and chart that as ewcm and just know that it was a fluke thing or just chart it as sticky? I know you're supposed to chart the most fertile cm of the day, but it was so random and it was just that little bit. It's not really a big deal, but I'm just wondering how y'all would chart it.

I think I would chart it as EWCM.

Oh the ol' blobby jello-like EWCM. Gotta love it. Chart it as such!

FF says to always chart you most fertile CM of the day, so go with the EWCM.

That happened to me this cycle - it was just the smalled EWCM, so I charted it as that.  It ended up throwing off my O with FF and it had me with dashed CHs instead of solid lines since the EWCM was so many days before the temp spike.  

I ended up taking it off so I could have straight lines (cause I'm OCD and I wanted straight lines)

But I would just chart it as EWCM just so you remember what day it was.

@CreechMommy, EWCM prior to O gave you dotted CHs? I've never seen FF do that. There have been cycles I've gotten EWCM a week or more before O and still ended up with solid lines. EWCM after O has given me dotted ones before, so I often won't chart any fertile-ish CM after a clear temp shift.

Keep in mind that sperm can live in ideal conditions for up to 5 days or so. OPKs don't tend to turn positive until 12-36 hours prior to ovulation. It makes sense that CM would be fertile for at least a few days prior to a +OPK.

@BethKate2 Yup - Once I took it off, I got solid lines on the same day (Day 17)  that it was showing the dotted lines.  Weird.
