  • Good Morning ladies and happy Friday!

I hope everyone has been doing well this week!  Every week that passes is a wonderful milestone. Feel free to post any questions you may have.

How far along are you? 17 weeks

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? We have our anatomy scan in a few weeks, but other than that nothing has changed besides the ultrasounds every Thursday

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Same old, same old - my face won't stop breaking out

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? Yes, but it feels weird to use that name on this baby right now until we know the baby is coming home.  I'm terrified that using it will just hurt me more.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Well... BV is back.  Not a huge deal, but since I'm high risk for infections/Chorio, I'm definitely STRESSED OUT about it.  I'm looking into every symptom and psuedo symptom I have and thinking its Chorio again.
  • How far along are you? 12 weeks 5 days

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?  I have just a regular OB appointment on Wednesday. Nothing really exciting about that one, just a hb check, pee in a cup and done.

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Still having lots of food aversions and as of last Monday, I've started throwing up as part of my morning get ready for work routine, lol

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet?  Girls pretty set on Charlotte. Boys we disagree. DH would prefer Robert and I would prefer Matthew. There are a few other boys names that we both semi like....if baby is a boy I guess we'll hash it out then.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week?  DH's work schedule. He gets a schedule a year in advance and he is on the midnight shift until June starting next week. While I'm thrilled that when I'm huge and pregnant I get the bed to myself, that also means when baby gets here, especially if its early, I'm alone at night with baby and no help. I'm a little freaking out at the thought...

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Tomorrow I have to do a glucose tolerance test. I guess I get to do two. One now and one at 24 weeks.

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Mostly just really hungry now. Besides that I'm feeling pretty good.

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? Not yet. We will probably wait until we know if it is a boy or a girl. Then we will chose a couple names, but wait until we meet him or her to pick.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? We saw friends that live out of the country yesterday. That was surprisingly hard. We hadn't seen them in about 4 1/2 years.

Also our local walk might have been cancelled. I hope not. I really wanted to go.

  • I love that photo, I just cried looking at it. Beautiful.
  • Hi everyone, sorry I'm late AGAIN!

How far along are you? 13 weeks, 1 day

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Just a normal check in two weeks from now

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Nausea is actually getting a little better, slowly but surely. I've had the blues the last several weeks as well but I'm finally starting to feel like I'm coming out of my fog, at least more often.

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? We have a few contenders, but nothing anywhere close to firm.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Starting to get more and more excited about this little person I'm growing! We got our progenity results on Thursday and were thrilled to learn that everything they tested for came back normal AND we're having another little boy! We are beyond thrilled. DH and I both felt we were robbed of the chance to raise a little boy and couldn't be more excited to hopefully get another chance.
  • @chickinNH- thank you for sharing the photo, so beautiful! And I'm so sorry about your stressful OB appointment. We had a similar experience last week and it's just terrifying.

@Mel&John2013-congrats on your boy! So happy for you!
  • How far along are you?
    11 weeks today.

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones?
Had our first official appointment last week. Next appointment on the 27th. Wesley's 9 month birthday was last Thursday, I handled it better than I thought I would.

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions?
My hyperemesis isn't getting better but so far it's not worse (thank goodness). I'm going in for fluids every few days so we are starting to discuss home IV therapy so we don't have to keep going to the ER. I'm also considering taking a medical leave from work.
I don't want to but it's increasingly hard to function and I feel like I'm letting my department down by taking so much sick time!

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? We've discussed a few for both a boy and girl. I really want to be team green and have a few girls and boys names choose but officially decide when we meet our little one. My husband isn't super keen on that plan so we'll see.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Missing my boy and wishing he was here. Worrying that when we start telling people about this pregnancy, they'll think we've forgotten about Wesley or aren't still grieving. I just think about him all the time.
  • kflynn81 Charlotte is on our short list of names too!  Tim especially loves it.  I'm so sorry about DH's work schedule.  I know how awful it is to have a husband away at night, and my heart goes out to you knowing that it will be difficult once the baby is here. I can't believe hes on midnight shift until JUNE!  Hopefully this time flies by.  **hugs**

dadalou I'm sorry that your local walk might be cancelled.  I really hope that it isnt!  And I think that waiting to see the baby is a good idea.  I have a feeling we might change our mind at the last minute once we see ours!

chickinNH So glad the Zofran is helping!  It never really did much for me, but I heard its a miracle worker for most people.  I'm so sorry about the scary appointment, but glad that everything is okay.  Love the baby names, especially Leah! And the FB thing - I dont have FB, but my husband does, and we always say the same thing.  People will comment on his work and stuff, but never on the boys.  Its heartbreaking.

Mel&John2013 I'm glad you are feeling better! and congrats on the little boy!  So precious!  I'm so happy to hear that testing came back normal.  You must feel so relieved.

Bgirma Happy belated birthday to Wesley.  I'm glad that day was okay for you.  Those milestones are so rough.  I'm sorry to hear that the hyperemesis is not getting better. I rally hope that it gets better so you dont have to take a medical leave.  I'm thinking of you!  We feel the same thing about announcing our pregnancy.  I dont want people to think we have forgotten or moved past our loss.  **hugs** you know we won't forget Wesley, and I hope no one else will either

  • How far along are you? 17w5d

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Anatomy scan and check up in about a week and a half, can't come soon enough!
Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? Nope, feeling pretty good.  I think I've started to really gain weight though :(  I'm not opposed to getting bigger at all, actually love having a big belly.  It's the fat ass and thighs I'm not crazy about haha.

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? Yes.  I'm not sure that I want to post the full thing here, but I'll say that her first name will be my husband's middle name, which was also our son's middle name.  Losing Q was obviously hard enough on it's own, but it also meant that my husband lost his namesake.  My husband is the fourth, and Q was the fifth (name doesn't actually start with a Q, but his nickname did).  We won't call her by the full name, but will use a nickname.  So her name will be "Liv" Elizabeth.  Hope that made sense :)
Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Been feeling Liv more the past couple of days, so that's really nice.  I'm getting more and more excited to be having a girl.  I REALLY hope another boy is in our future, but having a girl now is awesome.

  • ikrystal : Oh no, that sounds so stressful :(

kflynn81: Wow, I can't believe he gets his schedule so far in advance!  Having to worry about taking care of a newborn by myself at night is crazy, so I get your concern.  Is there anyone else that is nearby to help you?

Mel&John2013 : Congrats on another boy!

Bgirma : I worry that people will think that we are "over" losing our son as well, but so far that hasn't been the case.  I still talk about him all the time, so we are definitely keeping his memory alive.

  • How far along are you? 3 weeks 6 days I think. (We'll see what the midwife gives me when I eventually see her. I didn't O until CD30, so I figured it out from that.  (I didn't even know I was pregnant with my son until 6 weeks, so I'm really nervous right now that I know so early!)

Do you have any upcoming appointments or milestones? Not for now. At some point I'll need to get myself organized and call for an appointment with my midwife. I think I'll probably wait another week or two before I call just to get used to the idea a little more first.

Any pregnancy symptoms or pregnancy cravings or aversions? I was pretty convinced (but didn't want to get my hopes up) that I was pregnant from about 2-3 DPO. I didn't have any symptoms until way later the first time! I've been super tired, I've head a constant headache for about a week and a half, and I'm craving hot savory foods like chicken. I was boiling a chicken breast the other day and felt like I wanted to climb in the pot with it because it smelled so good! So weird!

QOTW: Do you have a name/names picked out yet? No idea. I'm still trying to convince myself that I am actually indeed pregnant.

Open Topic. What is on your mind this week? Like I said, still just trying to convince myself that I really am pregnant. It felt like forever (5 cycles), which I know it really wasn't (at all). But at the same time I'm really surprised because it took us well over a year the first time!

  • erinel I totally understand the weight gain thing.  Big belly? No problem.  Fat thighs? No thanks. I like the name idea (and completely get why you wouldnt want to post the whole thing here).  Good luck at your level 2 scan!

GymSpaz26 Welcome to the check in!  That is one strong baby you have if you had symptoms so early and tested positive so early!  Congrats!  Good luck at our first midwife appointment.
  • @ikrystal‌ - I'm lurking but wanted to say I totally know how you feel with the Bv. I've had it twice this pregnancy, and also have had 3 yeast infections. All if the above are pretty asymptomatic for me- I get a bit if cramping and some (tmi) darker discharge and that's it! Of course I head right in bc I'm terrified, so know that you aren't alone AND bv does not =chorio (at least that is what my doc keeps reassuring me after I ask repeatedly!). <3 to you!

  • kz's_girlygirl Nice to hear from you!  I hope you are doing well.  Thanks for the reassurance.  I always ask about the Chorio too and like you, have to hear the answer over and over again before I start to feel better. I hope BV/yeast doesn't show up again for you and you can have an uneventful rest of your pregnancy.  These infections are common but being PgAL changes how we feel about everything. I saw that you are due at the end of the year - lots of prayers and love to you!
