I picked mom but they use them all, depending on their mood. Mom, mommy or mama mostly, for a day or two there my DD thought it was hilarious and called me "dear sweet mother".
Ds1 calls me mommy. Although, one day last week, he scratched a mosquito bite until it bled and came running for some first aid. I cleaned it off, put some neosporin on it, and covered it with a bandaid. When I was done, my 3yo turned to me and said, "Thanks, mom." Um, you're welcome, son.
The first time DS said mom, he was also 3! And it definitely sounded weird! He always calls me mommy, and now he will sometimes throw out mom because he thinks it is so funny, probably because of the reaction I had when I first heard him say it!
whatever he ends up using is just fine, but i love Mama. and not the spanish "mamá", but like Mama in a southern accent...because my dream is that LO will have a southern accent despite living in southern California. i just think kids with southern accents are so adorable
My kids call me Mama with the southern accent @narcissticbeaut loves because Texas. They sometimes go through phases where they think calling me my first name is hilarious.
sort of related: one of my BFFs refers to her mom as Mom (instead of MY mom) when she's talking about her and it drives me nuts. Like, "I was talking to Mom today and she said..." Ahhhh stop it! She's YOUR mom, not OUR mom. Say "my mom" dammit! She does it with her dad too, and she'll say "I'm going to Mom and Dad's for dinner".
This looks ridiculous all typed out but I stand by my feelings on this issue.
@MissDemeanor, you made me LOL at work. Thank God I wasn't in the middle of interpreting something serious! HAHAHA
I'm not nuts,...well maybe I am, but he really does say it. If he continues to refer to me by my first name then he will need to start calling me Mama Karlsey instead :P

I've never heard it. [-(
FFFC#1: I made this poll after reading the baby talk thread, obviously #2 I kept giggling to myself as I did it and checking to see when @Karlamo saw it
Also, I think that baby R should be calling you @Mamosey instead of Mama

Mother does sound harsh. I can regularly be heard saying, "Do you know what your mother did now?," when calling my sister.
Some of us have self control. *clears throat*
