New to The Bump

Hello all!  I just joined The Bump today.  My DH and I have been talking for awhile now about starting TTC this fall around Thanksgiving.  I want to have my 30th birthday (Nov. 21) before we start.  We have been married for 3 years and originally planned on waiting for 5 years before TTC, but after watching the majority of our friends struggle with conception and then have to do IVF we thought it would be better to start a bit earlier.  A lot of our IVF friends were in their mid-twenties when they struggled so much.  We don't want to wait too long and then find out that it is going to be super difficult.  So I quit BC a little over a week ago, and we are using alternate forms of contraceptipm while my cycles start getting back in sync.  I have had horrible baby fever for the last year or so.  I have always loved other people's children but now I am really itching to have my own.  We plan on my being a SAHM, as I really want to be available to our children and I plan to write historical fiction novels on the side; I'm an archaeologist and medieval historian.   I look forward to having discussions with everyone!
