Resisting all jokes here.  Do you have a lot of discharge?  Do you think that maybe you just think it is from your butt, but it isn't?  I'd call your doctor and get checked out for vaginitis, yeast infection, etc. first.

My boyfriend says its definitely my butt... I already called the doctor and they told me to wash better. But that doesnt seem to work. I just want to know if anyone else has had this happen before. Why would you want to make a joke?

Why would I want to make a joke about having a smelly butt?  Because instead of being a 35 year old woman, my mind works like a 15 year old boy!  Fart jokes are funny, poop jokes are funny, pull my finger jokes are funny....

How does your boyfriend know it is definitely your butt?  I'm scared to ask.

I think that your doctor can't test your for anything vaginal over the phone, so I'd recommend making an appointment and going in to have them do a swab of both areas to determine what is going on.  Infections of any sort aren't good for your baby.

Uh.. I mean there are a lot of obvious answers for why it smells when you go to the bathroom... But could part of it be super human pregnant lady odor detection? Are other people complaining? yeah I've got nothing.. I guess make sure it's not some vag infection?

My boyfriend can get closer to the smell than I can. We were enjoying "special time" when he mentioned the scent to me the first time. 

He described it as old collard greens, but I hadnt had any to eat.

Also I dont think my baby is bothered by it because nothing has been different with the pregnancy.

Does everyone just run to the doctors without asking around first? If you didnt have anything nice to say, you shouldnt respond. That is just manners I learned in elementary school. Grow up!! Yes when I think something may be wrong I call asap. No need to get upset because your ass smells funny, if you are concerned call your Dr it's not that hard.

I really thought asking in a place like this would help. Its not like it itches or is bothering me. Its just an odor. I didnt know if there was a cream or something I could pick up from the drug store for anal smell.

Sometimes you don't have itching even with YI, so I'd seriously call your doctor!

How long have you been experiencing this smell?

Had you pooped soon before or after the occurrence?

Did you BF taste it while he was giving "special time"? If so, can you describe the taste? 

Do you smell it every time you use the bathroom? And are you sure you just dont have bad gas?

I would try changing your diet for a few days, and see if that helps.
