Welcome to Ladies In Waiting. This is a group designed for all the ladies in the various stages of waiting after a loss: waiting to miscarry, waiting for AF to arrive, waiting to TTC again, and waiting for a BFP. Since this process is such a true test in patience, it is nice to have the support and friendship of other women going through similar experiences and emotions. 

-Check in is every Wednesday- New members: Post an intro and your current TTC status. - Current members: Post updates, link to your chart, upcoming appointments, requests for T&Ps. - Weekly check-in's will include an inspirational quote.

Please do not worry if your name is not on the check in, I only put those that participated in the previous check in. Please make sure that if you get a BFP to PM me. I try to check PGAL, but sometimes I may miss it.

@creechmommy I think your crosshairs should be solid. FF is drunk. It's probably the OPKs throwing things off.

Jumping in again this week...currently on CD8 and waiting to O. I caved and took an OPK this morning just to see. There was barely a second line. I know rationally it's way too early, but it was still discouraging as I was hoping for a reasonable O date. I'll try another in a few days, hopefully with a darker result.

Hello! I think I last posted in July?? It was a long time waiting to TTC again and September was finally our month after having a "normal" cycle in August. I am now in my TWW @ 6DPO ... just 8 excruciating days left until test day.

@natalie115 don't get too discouraged. Sometimes my OPKs go from stark white to very noticeable quickly. Don't read too much into the color!

My DH and I got a BFP 02/2014, MC 04/2015, D&C 5/2014. Benched for 6 months due to one of the twins being a molar pregnancy. Just cleared to TTC, and I'm currently O'ing +OPK, but no CM yet. #scared #excited #don'tknowifImready!

I feel like I've been a lady in waiting for the past 8 months. Seems like this group is a good fit for me

@BookishMomma I was wondering about that.  I have only been charting 2 cycles and I thought my CHs last cycle were solid.  Although at that time I wasn't using OPKs.  So far FF hasn't moved my CHs so I think they're pretty solid.  Although I kinda wish it showed O a little earlier, cause we had better timing earlier.  I kinda gave up on timing when my OPKs went back to neg for a few days then BAM - O happens haha.  

Hoping for the best, but not feeling so great about this cycle.

AFM Sitting in the 2WW again. I should be able to test next Thursday or Friday. I've been checking my cm more like I mentioned last week, and I definitely noticed some changes the past week. Only based off that I am pretty sure I O'd around CD14/15. But I'm not really up on all that, so I guess time will tell.
We're still HIO a little extra this week just in case. DH is pretty on board with all the sex he gets with TTC anyhow.

@natalie115 there is no such thing as starting OPK's too early, but there would be a problem if you started too late! Hope you confirm O soon!

@kreardon11‌ sorry about your loss, welcome! It's not uncommon not to discharge CM when you O, but that doesn't mean it isn't available to help that sperm travel to your egg! Hope your TTC journey is short!

I tested this AM (CD29) and it was negative. Then I proceeded to start spotting this afternoon so I'm hoping AF shows full force tomorrow. October will be our 3rd round of clomid CD5-9 and we will do our monitored session with a trigger so I'm anxious/nervous/excited. Mostly nervous because if we do get a BFN we will avoid in November to build back up my lining as clomid thins it out. I'm in a good place emotionally! To put it frank I think if we had gotten our BFP this month I would have been a wreck through Oct until our first appointment as it is our due date month with the triplets and I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from thinking of how much harder the month would be if we lost pregnancy number two and it was the month our babies were due. Sorry I sound negative! I'm confident in my diagnosis and my medical team but can't help but go through all the "what ifs"! Hugs to everyone who needs them.

AFM, AF finally showed so I have one cycle of my two cycle wait out of the way. I have started charting on FF and I ordered some OPKs on Amazon that are supposed to be arriving Friday. I just want to get an idea of how things are working before we start TTC next month since I know cycles can get a little weird after MC. So I guess I should start testing around CD10?? Still not sure how all that works. Any advice is appreciated. I am going to spend this next month on the bench finding a good OB and getting myself as healthy as possible. I have a consultation with a new OB in a couple weeks, so hopefully we hit it off and I can end my search (I hate looking for new doctors)! Hope all the rest of you enjoy your week. Yeah, I can't decide if I like it or not.  I thought it was an OPK and not a monitor so I was recording things wrong on FF for like a week!  The monitor has been blinking at me with a smiley face for four days which means "high fertility" so I'm just waiting for that steady smiley face for the "peak fertility".  I'm used to the +/- of the OPK I used last time which seemed right to the point.  How do you mean wonky?  Do you mean blinking at you for almost a week?!  Just seems like a long time to be experiencing "high fertility", no?

hey all! sorry this is going to be abit of a post and run this week. we're out of town and DH is at the Mayo clinic getting all kinds of tests run to see if we can't do something with his gastroparesis and dysautonomia. crossing my fingers we can find some kind of effective treatment. 

being out of town and having wonky early morning medical tests is testing my ability to chart, but I'm doing the best i can. I keep waiting for FF to give me the crosshairs or something (still TTA, but watching to see my cycle trends). I'm still getting pretty low temperatures, which I've read could be indicative of underactive thyroid. I've got a followup apmt with OB on the 6th and I'll bring it up to him. could be because I'm temping orally right now (didnt want to change to vaginally until next chart to keep the current one's data under the same conditions, as much as i could anyways). I'm on CD 19, and I think I may have O'd around 13-15. idk, I'm still learning these things. 

outside of charting, emotionally it's been abit of a roller coaster but maybe settling down now. my MIL decided it was a good idea to throw a baby shower for a friend of a friend 7 weeks after we lost Fenix, which hurt and pissed me off royally. we talked it though and ti was arranged prior to losing Fenix, but one would think they'd call it off or move venues if they had 7 weeks to change that detail. nervous about what the Mayo clinic will say about DH. but i am here with family in the same town, so it's nice to have that support.

@ctk181 Don get frustrated on your first cycle if you don't get a positive opk, or have many days of positive opk 's. Everyone heals at different rates. Yeah for one cycle being done.

@lyndz333 I have decided I don't like the way that guy looks at me with that cheesy grin like he knows more than me... 

@artgeek009 I am not sure there is enough in your chart that points to an old date. I hope your DH gets some  good news at the Mayo clinic. My mother and her dh just left there a couple days ago and feel pretty good about their experience.

AFM: I had a cycle of waiting. You last monitored cycle they discovered a ruptured cyst.  I spent my rest of the cycle drinking, because for the most part I abstain while ttc.  I was warned tha t AF would probably need to be induced. Hahaha my body always does the opposite of what it is told and it showed up 4 days early. I never have a 27 day cycle. For now I am waiting to O.My insurance is being difficult so I am doing an unmedicated cycle. I am going with hopeful even though the odds are against me. Monday is my 39th birthday and I am going to Seattle for a day trip.

@lyndz333 It sounds like you are using the Clear Blue Advanced Digital OPKs, not the monitor. But they work pretty much the same way. I've used the advanced ones before and remember getting a bunch of flashing smileys before getting a peak. I think it happens to a lot of people. I hope you get your peak soon! If not, just keep HIO.

As for me, I'm just waiting to get my hysteroscopy on Monday for my RE to look inside my ute and make sure all is clear after my surgery last month. Assuming everything looks OK, we will probably try naturally this cycle and then move on to meds + IUI next cycle. The timing isn't going to work out for a medicated cycle this month.

@pickles4prez I don't have experience with trigger shots, but probably will soon when we move on to meds next month! If you post your question on the main board you're probably more likely to get some answers there. There are quite a few TTCALers with experience in that area.

@Pickles4Prez‌ I do clomid CD5-9 with a ultrasound at CD16 and a trigger of hormones into my stomach to ensure O within 36 hours! With the shot it's just a matter of grabbing a chunk of my skin and bunching it together and the nurse give me the injection!!

@heartbot - My cycles used to be 28-29 days. My first one post D&C was 31 days (if you count the day of my D&C as CD1). So sorry for your loss. GL TTC!

I don't think I'll make it to Friday to test even though I tell myself to. Last month I tested on the Thursday and an hour later AF showed up. I was mad I wasted a test lol.

@heartbot welcome and I am sorry for your loss. Good luck this month, either way, like you said being off the bench and TTC again is something to celebrate on it's own! I don't chart or temp, so I am not completely sure. I think about 7 DPO though.

@SunshineShades Yea last cycle I tested the morning AF was scheduled to show, but I had no AF symptoms when I woke up so I tested, then by that afternoon AF was upon me.  Even knowing what I know, I usually end up being an early tester lol

@ashtog - I should be getting my OPKs in the mail today. I am on CD7 now, so I will start testing this weekend and see what happens. I wasn't sure if this weekend would be too early, so it helps to know that CD9 is a possibility for some. Thanks for the info! I still have a lot to learn about this stuff. The only thing I have to compare it to is the cycle right after my D&C and FF says I Oed at CD20, but I don't feel like I can trust that first post-D&C cycle to predict future cycles. So I guess I will just test from this weekend on and hope for a + at some point!

@BookishMomma‌ - I thought they were OPKs but then I thought they weren't because it wasn't a +\- type thing. I got six days of blinky and then peak today when the hubs had to work a 24 hour sift. He's a firefighter. Sigh.

@lyndz333 oh, that's great that you got your peak! Looks like you've done well with BD the last couple of days, so probably no big deal if you skip a day and get some in tomorrow.

@ashtog‌ no other o signs...it's still really early for me though. On a "normal" cycle I O around cd 20 so I still have another week and a half. I'm just hoping it happens before cd 30 or 36 like my last two cycles. Thanks for asking
