Increase in cost for embryo storage?

I got the annual bill for embryo storage fees yesterday, and it has increased by about $120 from the previous year. I am going to call our RE's office and ask what is going on, but we were never made aware that the storage fees would increase. If you have frozen embryos, have your storage fees increased, or were you told that they will in the future?

The Financial Coordinator isn't in today, but I should hear back from her tomorrow. I will definitely let you know what she says @Ducky719. The consents that we signed prior to the start of the cycle that gave us the frozen embryo (we only have 1) didn't state anywhere that the costs would increase, but it also didn't specifically say that they would remain the same.

@LauraBeth1401 The cost for the first year of storage was included in the fee we paid for IVF, but the last annual fee that we paid covered a whole year. Sigh. I am confused.

Mine were $600 a year and never increased, however, in the same amount of time the cost for a FET went from $3,500 to $4,000.

STILL waiting for a call back. I left another message today. I love my clinic, but their offsite financial people are a pain to deal with. I will update when I can!

I hope not! Mine are $1200 per year which I think is crazy!

I have had embryos in storage since 2010 and the price has not increased for us.
