I am in full blown nesting mode. I feel like 9ish weeks is not enough time to get everything done, and that's only if I make it to my due date, which last time I did not. It's frustrating because it's definitely very slow going, and I am wicked feeling the time crunch.
GTKY: I have a huge list of household stuff, like decluttering and rearranging of furniture that needs to happen. I feel like there is just so much crap in my house. When decluttering is a regular event, and there's not crap coming into my house.... How the hell do I still have more crap to get rid of?? It makes no sense. I still haven't pulled out any baby items except for some clothes, so that all needs to get done too. And I have to finish up my PBumz which are only about 50% done right now.
Suddenly my life doesn't seem such a waste,
It all revolves around you.
I wouldn't say I am quite miserable, but over the weekend when I hit 36 weeks, I also hit that point where I am uncomfortable all of the time.
Baby's room is 100% ready, clothes and diapers are all washed and put away. Things are really good right now. I don't feel in a hurry to get this baby out, but I feel ready now.
The feeling of always being on the edge of panic is gone and I feel like things will be okay, and this whole 2u2 thing will be survivable. Basically C's sleep and bedtime has improved by about 1000%, and it has stuck for 2 1/2 weeks now. Life changing at this point. Hopefully it will last through the baby's first few weeks at least.
The only thing I really want to get done before the baby comes is cleaning out my van. It is too full of random crap and needs a good vacuuming. Not especially baby related, but I need to do it soon or it will be months before I do it.
@mrscjmb9410 It was the same here. E was born at 39 weeks, everyone told me P would be earlier. I was dead set on 38 weeks. Went to 41 even. And that just made the last 3 weeks SOOO much harder, since I had my expectations set. Fx LO decides to join you soon.

Well I'm not miserable, but I feel for you gals. Only 14 weeks over here, though my pants get tighter by the day, so that makes me crabby. I start the weekly hormone shots in 2 weeks and will have them from 16w to 36w to hopefully stave off preterm labor this time around.
We plan to convert the spare room into P's room, and the baby will take P's old room. The spare room has a desk and extra cloths in it, so that will all need to go. Also, the walls are orange- like bright orange straight from the rainbow. It was a pre-teen's room prior to us buying it, and we moved in in 3 days, so we haven't had time to paint it yet. That, and we need to find a new daycare. We currently go to the most expensive (and wonderful!) place in town, but having 2 kids there would actually negate my take-home salary; obviously that makes zero financial sense. So, room painting/converting and daycare shopping. Ugh, I'm stressing about daycare. I feel so guilty that we have to switch P...
26 weeks as of yesterday. I'm getting to the point of some things being uncomfortable. I've been really lucky so far and knew that the luck would run out eventually. Passed my glucose test and next appt is October 10 when I have to get the rhogam shot.
GTKY: My to do list just keeps growing. Lots of decluttering/cleaning/reorganizing to do and I have 2 grad school classes that don't end until 3 weeks before my due date. I actually called in sick today at work so I could finish my paper that's due at 6pm tonight. I seem to have an amazing talent of procrastinating when there are so many other things I'd rather be doing.
15w5d here Still feeling fine! I'm craving sour candies, just like I did with my last pregnancy, which I find so bizarre. Tomorrow I have an US and will likely be able to find out the sex of this baby, but I'm still undecided. If we do find out, we will just keep it between us though. That will let me buy stuff on sale while I've still got a paycheck (even though it's a modest 1 day per week paycheck) and we will at least get to surprise our families and friends.
At this point in my first pregnancy I had started to feel baby movement and still nothing with this pregnancy. I was hoping I would feel something early on this time, but wonder if the extra 10lbs I'm now rocking has anything to do with it?
We are still *slowly* unpacking, I can't believe how much longer this crap takes while pregnant/toddler rearing.
14+ weeks. Not feeling miserable yet, fortunately. I am a little worried about what @mrscjmb9410 is going through since DD came early (38w5d) and I never had to deal with those last few weeks of pregnancy, or with being past due, or waiting around for the baby. We were actually expecting to go late and I was caught by surprise to be early. I hope I can go into this one without feeling like I should be done early! I want to plan for 41 weeks, and be pleasantly surprised if it happens earlier.
As far as preparations... we have to completely clean out the room that is DH's current office/guest room/storage room and get it ready for DD to move into. We already have all the furniture and such, just need to find new places to store stuff and make it safe and comfortable for her. There are a few things we'll need to pick up at some point (second camera for our monitor, baby book, I want to try out those milk savers breast pad things) but we won't need to buy much and we aren't going to change DD's room around at all other than bringing in the stuff we've taken out (mobiles, glider, newborn diapers and clothes and toys).
I actually feel like there's really not much to do this time around, and I wonder if things will come up that I'm not anticipating? Any 2nd+ time moms want to weigh in on what I'm overlooking??
I take back what I said Last night. I am officially at the miserable point. I was up for 3 hrs last night with a lovely combo of allergies, insomnia, and heartburn. I did not sleep more than a few hrs every night for the 2 weeks before C was born. I'm not ready for that to start already. DH is gone for the evening and I barely managed bedtime alone. I can barely pick C up anymore, and when he sits in my lap for his bottle it is super incomfortable. He fell and bumped his head, and I was laying on the couch but could hardly get up to get to him.
@Robi1 I also felt like things were way too easy the 2nd time around. Mine are less than 2 years apart, and the same sex. So we left E's room as is, and just got a new crib for P. We pulled out E's old clothes and washed and put them in P's room, and pulled out her old swing, bouncer, and jumper, and put them around the house. Bing, bang, boom.
@mrshudson618 MH traveled a bit when I was big fat pregnant with #2, and having to watch #1 alone. It was really, really hard. Especially trying to give a bath, or lay her in her crib with intense heartburn. I vomited stomach acid just about every night that I had to put her down by myself. I am very sorry for what you are going through right now. Hang in there mama!

Good to know I'm not missing something big! We were team green and everything we have, even clothes for the first six months at least, are all neutral. I don't think there'll be too much difference season-wise either, since I had onesies, pants, sweatshirts, pjs in just about every size. DD already uses a bed so I don't think it'll be too big a deal transitioning her to a new room with a slightly different bed, but we'll try to do that a few months earlier just to make sure she's settled in. I know it's a totally different story after the baby is here, so I'm glad the preparations at least are pretty straightforward!
