It is raining...what do I do now?

We are having our first big rain in a couple months and DH and I are having dinner with friends. Just spent 10 minutes cramming my very swollen feet and "ankles" into boots. Not fun. Not fun at all. I may have to get a pair of shoes other than birks that I can ware for the next 2-3 weeks.

Boo cankles.

  • I'm in the same boat in our neck of the woods, it's starting to get cold outside and I'm walking around in flip flop because feet will not fit in anything else. Yay third tri
  • Ugh all you people and your rain! It is in the forecast for Thursday, but I'll believe it when I see it.

  • Be careful with the boots.  I practically got my feet stuck in boots during my last pregnancy.  DH had to really pull hard to get them off.  I ended up just wearing ballet flats for dressy stuff and enjoyed laughing at my muffin-top cankles.

  • @TheOtherJacobsons‌ I know! Good grief I'm done with this weather! It smells like rain outside right now, but non rain. Praying for Thursday. I just want some relief from this 80 degree weather!

I always opt for flip flops pregnant or not. It has to be freezing cold to get me in shoes and socks. They are just not my thing.

  • My rain boots are fine because I bought them a half size bigger to wear with thick socks. However. My raincoat is a whole other story.

  • My legs are swelled, but not my feet so far.. sorry ladies!!
  • At my last appt my OB took a look at my swollen ankles and feet and (after squishing her face and saying ooooooooh) asked if I wanted her to write a doctors note to my boss that's it's medically necessary I wear flip flops. Lol!

  • There's always the oh-so-glamorous option of Crocs. ;)
I'm walking around in crocs flip-flops that I bought last pregnancy then put in storage.  They aren't even close to cute, but they are oh so comfortable.

  • I have been living in Teva Sandals for the past week or so.  And yes, if my feet get cold, I will rock the sock and sandal look!  I just don't care anymore.

  • I bought Toms in a half size up.

I did this too! Now those and birks are all I wear. If it gets really cold here before the baby comes, I'm just going to have freezing toes.

  • I bought one pair of cute sandals in a half size up. They go with everything... besides the cold front we've had the past two days. My little toes froze yesterday so I chanced it today and wore a pair of boots. I was shocked they got on my feet this morning, let's pray I can take them off this afternoon!  [-O<

@MissMandyD Ugh, that doesn't sound fun.  But I have a question .. if you got your feet into boots, are they still cankles or do they become kneeckles??   ;)
    They do indeed! So attractive!

  • It's supposed to pour here tomorrow morning and I have to go to my appt. it's a solid 15-18 min walk from the subway to the hospital. Ugh. I'll be in my Onitsukas. Then off to the job. Sneakers to work-whateva whateva- I do what I want!
  • I have a pair of moccasins from target that fit. They'd pretty much be useless in the rain but are my go to for cooler weather right now. I haven't been brave enough to try any boots. I have a really cute pair of Steve Madden riding boots that I bought last year. I'm so terrified this pregnancy made my feet bigger forever and I'll never be able to wear them again :((
