hey ladies.. I am going for both these tests next week.. One on Monday and one on Wednesday.. My question is am I okay to go to these by myself? I am not sure if H will be able to get off work and we haven't told people about all this yet.

I only had HSG done but I brought my mom with me (DH had to work) just in case but I was able to drive myself to and from. I had a lot of cramping during the procedure and lightly throughout the rest of the evening but other than that was ok. Good Luck on both!
Me: 32 DH: 34 Married 7/08 DD Born 8/09
TTC#2 Since 2/13 (Secondary IF)
2/13 thru 2/14 - Year of charting, OPK and TI
3/14 thru 7/14 - Clomid cycles, DH SA came back good
I had the HSG and saline sono at the same time - I'm not sure why some places do them separately? But yes, you will be totally fine to go by yourself.
I just had mine last week. I got super nervous in the waiting room and started googling HSG on my phone (WHY?!) and saw all these stories about people claiming their HSG was more painful than childbirth. It really freaked me out! I know it feels a different for different women, but for me it felt no more uncomfortable than a pap smear and took maybe only a minute or two longer. My appointment was at 1pm - I was 10 minutes late and still in the car on my way home by 1:40. I hope yours goes just as smoothly!!
I took my sister with me to my HSG (DH had to work). The procedure was a tad painful but the pain stopped the second it was over. Then just cramping the rest of the day. If I had to do it again I could go alone

I just had an HSG in July and was fine afterward. I took 800mg Ibuprofen about an hour before the procedure. My husband did go with me though, in case there were any issues.

I made my H come with me, but he didn't come in the room...the hospital didn't let him for some reason, I'm a huge baby and took some anti-anxiety meds before so I couldn't drive. Good luck!
I drove myself to both and was fine. H did meet me at the hospital for my HSG but only bc the Dr asked him to meet us so we can review some other test results at the same time, including his crappy SA.

Hashimoto's with irregular cycles DH- 37 Severe oligoasthenoteratozoospermia
TTC since May 2012
HSG- all clear
March 2014 - RE appt. April 2014- Saline sono all's good, terrible SA results - 8 sperm found all abnormal May 2014- Fert Urology- Bilateral varicoceles, recommend Donor Sperm
Like most of the pp, with my HSG, I drove myself. The procedure itself was painful for me (intense cramps), but afterwards, I was just a little crampy. I was completely fine to drive. I did spend most of the afternoon on the couch, though because I was so emotionally drained from how nervous I had been.
TTC since July 2012 BFP 5/22/13. Lap. to remove ectopic and dx with endo. 6/16/13
RE consult: June 2014
DX: FVL, endo, hypothyroidism, blocked left tube
Oct. 2014: First treatment cycle: Clomid+trigger+IUI=BFN
DH drove me to my HSG because it was a requirement from the lab. But I absolutely could have driven myself. My HSG didn't go completely smoothly (they struggled for about 40 minutes to get the catheter in...not much pain just anxiousness over whether or not the test would actually work) but even so I could easily have driven myself home. And I hear most of the time these tests are easy-peasy.
