This is a weekly check-in for PAIF members in their second trimester.
You can feel free to join at 14 weeks and we will bid you an excited
farewell on your way to 3rd Tri after 27 weeks
.If there are any newcomers that would like to be added to the list, post below and include your EDD.
- How far along are you this week?
- Any appointments or other updates?
Also, please let me know if I have your “team” listed correctly or if it needs to be updated.
QOTW: Time to AW your SO! What's your favorite thing about your SO, the thing that first drew you to him/her? What's your favorite memory with your SO? Bonus points for PIP!
***Graduating to the 3rd Tri next week!!! Good Luck! ***
These are a repeat from last week - apparently I was sending people to 3rd Tri AT 27 weeks rather than AFTER 27 weeks - whoops! So this is your encore week - come for one last check-in so we can say goodbye!

Re: ~*~ 2nd Tri Check-in (9/23) ~*~
@Southernyankeegirl I had the 1 hr glucose test this morning. I didnt get to pick but I got orange too. Its not what Id call yummy, but it didnt make me gag either. It was... ok. Good luck in 2 weeks- I'll be thinking about you.
Speaking of that- I wanted to share a story. I love my Quest Girls. Along this 3 year journey to being a mom, I've spent many hours getting lab work done. One of the techs has been on the same journey. She's suffered numerous miscarriages- couldn't make it past 6 weeks. Her uterus wasn't strong enough to hold. I felt immense guilt telling her I was pregnant. At today's glucose test, she walked in and asked what I did for morning sickness- she is 9 weeks! 9 weeks!! She passed the 8 week test and goes back at 12. We all cried and hugged. I am over the moon for her. I'm taking her a care package of jazz that worked for me tomorrow. Just another reminder to not give up hope and be grateful we are on the pregnant after IF forum.
SO talking. Justin is a dude. I appreciate that, He can build/fix/make anything. He thrives off helping people. He is extremely quiet as he is a judging people watcher, but when he breaks out- it is meaningful, hilarious, and saractic. He was so supportive during IVF and now with pregnancy. He'll rub lotion on my feet which is huge since he isnt very romantic. Its practial feel good! We've been dating - ish for 10-11 years now so back in the day I thought he looked like Jordan from New Found Glory and I was/am a huge fan of them (Love punk music). A couple memories stick out. Our honeymoon in Playa del Carmen was amazing, we had so much low key fun that whole week. And when we bought our house we couldnt have been more united or lucky. We had about 20 people helping us move/clean/paint/ etc and we're asked so many questions and we agreed seemlessly on everything. Great teamwork moment.
Long post. Sorry ladies, apparently Im rambley today. Have a good one!

Hi! Can I join you all!? I'm 14w3d with a EDD of March 21, 2014! I have my OB appointment tomorrow and I'm excited! I still have really bad MS so it's good timing since my Zofran runs out tomorrow
@Runawaylaurel- At my last apt my OB said they do the anatomy scan at 18 weeks, so I don't think it's weird, but I also don't have mine scheduled yet.
QOTD: Aw. I love when we were first dating and he was asked to work overtime (or something along those lines) and he said "I need to check with my family first and I'll let you know" to his employer. I was "family" he was referring too, and I love that he considered me family less than a year of dating. I love that he isn't a guys guy and isn't so easygoing and cares so much about everything he does.

My shower is this Sunday, I'm really excited :-) I have to fly up to visit my parents on Thursday, so while I'm not looking forward to the 6am flight, I'm excited to eat some of my favorite local foods while I'm visiting (and see my parents, and my family at the shower, and some friends).
QOTW: DH is the best part of my life, he makes me so damned happy. He is my biggest cheerleader and looks at me like I put the moon in the sky every night all by myself. We just compliment each other so well, and we're really good at supporting each other in a way that makes the other better for it. The first thing I noticed about DH was his good looks - he was tall, muscular, blond, with a killer million-watt smile.
And my favorite memory is from about 3 months into our relationship, we took a trip to Costa Rica where we only had flights and a car reservation - we just went where we felt like going! In retrospect, it was sort of a test to see if DH could go with the flow out of his comfort zone. It was AMAZING! Truly some of my all time favorite memories. We went white water rafting, canyoning (repelling down waterfalls), hiking to an active volcano, collected seashells on a gorgeous beach, stayed in a gorgeous treehouse with a view, found a small town parade, saw "monkey-dogs" (coatis, technically).

I am very uncomfortable but love watching my bump grow and move now that I can see every movement they make from outside. My shower is the second week in oct and I'm just hoping I continue to do really well so I can travel 2 hours to it. I would be pretty disappointed if I had to miss the shower I've always dreamed of but never thought id have! But if course being these babies here safely is my priority and ill be fine if my family ends up having to bring the gifts to me instead :-)
Almost forgot, DH, my favorite thing about him is he is always thinking of me and making me happy, every decision he makes he thinks of me first, his main concern is to always be able to provide for our family and he will be a great dad. My fav memories are going to braves games that's one think he loves and I love enjoying that with him.
When we were telling another couple we were waiting to find out they said be sure to be up front right away with the u/s tech. Apparently theirs said "it's a boy! Oh wait, did you want to know?" Fortunately, they did.
As for DH....he's the most supportive person I know. We have known each other for just under 20 years now, and he has been my biggest cheerleader in life. He has always believed in me and pushed me to follow my dreams. I can't think of a "favorite" moment....there have been so many over the years!
Never tried PIP, so let's see if this works...this is the furniture but with a tall dresser instead. And my inspiration is this room with slightly different colors. I found an owl fabric that I fell in love with and am using as accents in curtains, crib skirt and possibly some pillows for whatever seating I end up using

Good morning ladies! I love reading the updates!
@southernyankeegirl Thanks for the well wishes! I will def. update Friday! Have so much fun at your shower & with your family!
Good luck to everyone getting their a/s this week!!
AFM: 20w1day Woot! Feeling great.. lots of movement! Co-workers are finally starting to notice the bump lol, honestly I don't know how they missed it all this time. A/S is Friday & I'm anxious, but I am so excited for DH to get to see them finally. He's never seen them move around in there or look like actual babies ha.
QOTW: My DH is just amazing. He's the best man I know & he's the most genuinely good hearted person I've ever met (he's pretty handsome too). He's my best friend & he's been so supportive of our entire journey. I know he will be an amazing father. My favorite memory, I would have to say, is our wedding ceremony. We were saying our vows & he had tears in his eyes & a smile on his face. I've never seen him cry in all 8 years.. he doesn't show emotions like that often. I will never forget it.

I will be 25 weeks tomorrow! I just got an invitation in the mail for my baby shower in November, it is super cute, got me all excited.
We also put a wall decal in our nursery and finally bought a rug! Yay
Thinking about scheduling a 3D ultrasound in the next few weeks. Our local place gives you a DVD of ultrasound, teddy bear with heart beat sound, lots of colored and black and white pictures. Figured it would be part of going all out on this pregnancy :P
QOTW: I love that my hubby is super smart, he just amazes me with all his random knowledge every single day. Favorite memory, so many to choose from, from traveling to Rome, Paris, and London, to getting married, to the day we found out we were pregnant, love them all.
Me: 30, DH: 32
My hx: uterus/hormones normal Dx: low AMH 0.5 = poor ovarian reserve
hubby hx: low sperm count, poor motility, started on clomid, retest in May showed no improvement, will be on clomid another 3 months, another retest scheduled for August
Started IVF #1: ~BFP Mentioned~
I am 21 weeks 1 day and the twins are going through some growth spurt because my bump is massive. I can feel them move and kick especially at night when I am laying down to go to sleep. That is the best part of pregnancy so far! I really need to order their cribs this week as they will take 10-12 weeks to arrive!
QOTW:
My husband is the nicest person I know. He has the gift of mercy and he is so generous to others. He is also hysterical and makes me laugh every ay. He is my rock and wow I am beyond blessed to have him as my husband and the father of my babies. He is going to be an amazing father! He is so into this pregnancy and it is so cute! My favorite recent memory is a very romantic time we had in a hot tub int he mountains ( before pregnancy).

AFM: I'm 23 weeks today! Only 1 more week to v-day and maybe I'll feel like I can breathe better! I decided to go for a/s part 3. Thankfully, my mom said she could take me from work to the doctor's. So, Imma take a half day on 10-1. Also, she's been moving so much now - I kinda wanna see her move, just one more time.
QOTW: What first drew me to DH was his personality. He seemed caring, kind and really nice. He wasn't my type at all (look wise) but I decided to give it a shot since he had a nice persona. The thing that made me really get attached to him was when I banged my head and went to the hospital. It was during Christmas time and he didn't wanna leave my room - eventually he got kicked out tho. But he was the last one to leave and the first one there in the morning. Coincidentally, he also won over my family big time. I'll never forget it! He's gonna be a great father!
*May Siggy Challenge - Parenting Fails*
QOTW: my hubby is amazing! He works so hard to be a great husband and a great father. He strives to understand me no matter what my mood or where I'm coming from.
I still think one of the best moments with him was when I was walking down the aisle at our wedding and all I could see was him and he was tearing up, and I was tearing up. I'll never forget that moment.

DH is so patient with me. He puts up with my garbage and always makes me laugh. One of my favorite memories was when he proposed. He took my to Paris for my 30th birthday and got down on one knee in a garden at Versailles. He was so nervous it was adorable. He always goes out of his way to make me happy. He was so supportive after our losses. I wouldn't have survived this journey with anyone else.
- Any appointments or other updates? No appts until next week, but I will be moving on to 3rd tri for realz this time.
QOTW: Time to AW your SO! What's your favorite thing about your SO, the thing that first drew you to him/her? He snuck vodka into a concert, and was sharing with me. That is where we met. LOL it was the vodka, and that he was my age. What's your favorite memory with your SO? Probably when we went to New York. He wanted to go to the baseball stadiums there before they tore them down. One of the best vacations ever. Bonus points for PIP!
