Anyone do the Panarama test for Downs? Doc said I really don't have any factors to have a baby with downs but I did do the testing with DD just to put my mind at ease.
Of course he says you can find out the sex earlier with this test as well, which is something I would like to know, but could wait till later on to find out. How accurate is the gender part of the test? Do they just take blood for the test or does it involve something else.
I went ahead and set my appointment up for Friday to do the test and right as the Dr. was explaining it he got called to do an emergency delivery, so that's why he didn't get to answer these questions.
Re: Panarama test
@mypeanut22 Hi there, I just joined the bored a few days ago. I was looking for a disussion on these type of tests and other chromosomal testing. I'm wondering if you decided on getting tested?
With my first pregnancy, I was all up for the testing, but now with this second pregnancy I'm not too sure. Part of me is afraid that the stats may not come out in my favor (I don't have family history of down syndrome or any other abnormalities) and then I'm going to worry for the rest of the pregnancy. Also, there is no way I would terminate the pregnancy so I ask myself, what is the point? However, another big part of me would like to know to be more at ease...
If any other ladies care to share what helped them decide to test or not to test would be greatly appreciated.
