Anyone else doing this?  I just submitted my application today.  DS has plenty of medication and therapy appointments that I'll be taking him too.

    DH did it during DS1's 1st and 2nd year of life.  That's when the combo of dr's appts and therapy was astronomical.  When we finally got his diagnosis at 15 months we had another handful of doctors to visit and then things finally calmed down.

    There is no way he would have had enough vacation to go to half the dr's appts and it saved his job.

    I did it for the year we were doing DE IVF tries, had lots of monitoring and traveled to an out of state clinic so took 3 days of sick leave for bedrest before flying.

    I've been approved for it but under our policy I need use all my vacation time first, so I haven't actually had to use it.  Things have settled down for the moment, but if the shizz hits the fan again, that's already taken care of.
