One of my coworkers is leaving a sales position at the end of this week and it's been offered to me. They said yesterday the "spiffs" on each sale constitute a significant jump in pay. That amount fluctuates from month to month though. I'm going to go in and ask for an increase to my base rate as well, not a lot but enough that I will feel more secure in my choice to keep working and have LO in day care rather than staying home.

Monkey #3
Congratulations on the new position. Hopefully there will be wiggle room in the budget for you to have an increase in your base rate too!
I just responded to a "sad and lonely" email actually (not for promotional stuff though - baby stuff) When I tried to complete the order, they said they don't deliver to PO Boxes - boo! I live in the country, but our entire village is PO Boxes. It's less than a kilometre to the postal outlet, but a 20 min drive to the nearest community with significant enough shopping to get what I might need. I was really hoping that ordering some of these items might be the answer to not having to drive so much after LO is born. Seems not....
