Trouble TTC

OPP Tuesday ***BFPS, PREGNANCIES, BABIES, AND CHILDREN WILL BE MENTIONED***

I'm posting this now since I will be loading a moving truck tomorrow.

My OPP rant is to the tacky girl who threw a baby shower for her third kid (see my post on the baby shower board). AND I ran into her at the coffee shop today. UGH. Get your stupid perfect belly away from me. I can't wait to move and be away from all the pregnant people. I hate how resentful IF makes me.

  • @theholmanherd Ugh.. Some ppl just don't have a clue. So sorry you are feeling this way. I feel it too. And it makes me feel like a horrible person :(

My OPP rant goes to the couple that brought their toddler to the RE's office this weekend. It was bad enough he was there, but his parents were letting him run around the waiting room, and climb up on everyone in there. You are really going to let you kid get on strangers laps?! I was so annoyed, and I doubt I was the only one. Thank god they went back a couple minutes after they got there.

  • @theholmanherd Yuck! So tacky! I would totally reply to an invite for a 3rd kid baby shower with a dollar store Congrats card and nothing else. :)

@mmmkayy So over the line! Perhaps you can comfort yourself with the fact that they are training a holy terror of a child and will be suffering the consequences for a lifetime. :)

@rainbowbridge14 I'm so sorry! It's been so strange to see DH start becoming more sensitive to those things, too, but it seems to have snuck up on him little by little to the point that our last BFN hurt him more than it hurt me. :(

I would like to complain about the most sweet darling little girl maybe 3 or 4 years old, and her very kind mother at the RE's for bloodwork on Saturday. Because IF has made me a horrible person. The girl nicely asked if the doctor was checking my blood too (yes) and where is the doctor to take care of me? (asking a question to another nurse). She was polite and nice and I could see she was really worried about me and her mom, who was next in line to get blood taken. I still felt all that warmth that I always do toward sweet and well-raised kids, but on top of it was huge wave of sadness that made me not want to look at her. IF sucks.

  • @BunnyBerry, haha! I would have if I actually got an invite. Instead, we all found out about via the church bulletin. WTF? Not even individual invites, just a blanket invite after the sermon notes in the Sunday bulletin....ugh.

I completely understand. We have a 3 month old niece that I choose not to see because the hurt and sadness is too much to handle right now. I told MH about it and since then he goes to see her by himself, and keeps them from coming over so my feelings will be spared. He told me this past weekend that he can't wait until I get PG so that I will get past my IF issues and be back to normal, sohe be the uncle he wants to be and spend more time with her. I know he didn't mean it in a bad way towards me, but it made me feel terrible. Like me and my emotions are holding him back from being a good person. I know that's not true. But it's hard not to think it. I hate how IF has changed me.

  • Lots of people on my FB are expecting in March/April... Yet another person announced today. And had my IVF worked I would have been an April person so these announcements are stinging even more. Seems like it's EVERYONE but me.

    Me: 32  DH: 33  Married: March 2004

    July 2006: started TTC
2008: HSG (normal), couple rounds of clomid through gyno
2008 - 2010: dragging my feet out of fear and procrastination
October 2010: first consultation with RE, dx PCOS and fibroids (DH slightly low count/motility)
Oct. 2010 - Dec. 2012:  In DENIAL! avoided the issue because I was scared of surgery
January 2013: returned to RE, fibroids grew significantly
February 2013: second HSG, fibroids pushed on tubes which blocked them somewhat
March 2013: MRI to determine what type of surgery may be necessary

July 29, 2013: fibroids (5) removed via robotic laparascopy
August 2013 - Nov 2013 : benched due to recent surgery

    IUI #1, Dec. 24, 2013, BFN
    IUI #2, Jan. 25, 2014, BFN
    IUI #3, Feb. 25, 2014  BFN
IUI #4 canceled due to lack of response to letrozole
    IUI #4.1 April 28, 2014, BFN

May 16, 2014: wtf consult, start prepping for IVF in June and add injects for one last IUI in the meantime
IUI #5 started letrozole and bravelle but canceled after HSG led to new diagnosis

May 21, 2014: third HSG, tubes blocked, one at the beginning, one hydrosalpinx??
June 11, 2014: consult, approved to move on to IVF because the hydro is not completely blocked therefore allowing fluid to move through slowly rather than backwards
    IVF #1 August 8, 2014 - 3dt of 2 embryos, BFN
September 17, 2014 - 4th HSG, the right tube is very patent (open!!) dye went straight through this time. Weird!
    October 2, 2014 - started metformin treatment
    November 14, 2014 - blood work, brought A1C down from 5.8 to 5.5

November 26, 2014 - RE finally back from vaca and reviewed my chart, no more IVFs for rest of calendar year
December 1, 2014 - Right after Thanksgiving, I called a new clinic and got in right away! Plan for IVF
    December 17, 2014 - ER! 29 retrieved (!!), 16 mature, all 16 fertilized (ICSI)

    IVF #2 December 20, 2014 - 3dt of 3 embryos, BFN

We are done with treatment unsuccessfully. :(

  • I logged into FB today to be blasted with maternity pictures all over the place of the girl who lived down the street from me and I used to babysit. And she's supposedly due mid March but unless she's having quads that math doesn't add up to her bump size.

The kicker is she currently also has a 6 month old and a 5 year old. I want to be happy for her but then she jokes that she's "extremely fertile popping out babies all the time". Wth...really?!
