a lady at a group we're part of was explaining how her grand daughter burned herself and they didn't even know because she didn't make a peep.

This grandaugther is deaf, adopted from China at 4.5, and delayed from orphanage life.  She is a serious sensory seeker, never stops moving, constantly rolling around, etc.  Probably from lack of sound and orphanage life.

One of the girls in the group says "it's probably because she's Chinese.  Chinese have much stronger pain tolerance than white people"

I almost spit out my soda at that one!  She stated how after she had her wisdom teeth out she didn't need pain meds, and I was about ready to voice how I gave birth without pain meds, but kept it to myself. I just thought it was hilarious.
