I started my pole dancing classes on Saturday! My calves were still on fire from running earlier in the week but, I survived and loved every bit of it! Haha, this also gives me an excuse to buy new work out clothes.
Been eating fairly healthy. Lots of fruits, salads and hummus snacks with crackers and cheese. While pregnant I drank these Dr. Oz shakes that were filled with all sorts of foods that helped flush you out. Gonna try those again soon. Aside from that, I'm going to start up taking the kids for walks/runs on the weekends and doing my sole runs twice a week.
lurking in on this thread...
but also wondering if anyone has the UP by Jawbone tracker. I am in the market for a tracker and this one will track my Zumba classes as well. However if the FitBit it better I may just stick with that. Any recommendations for a tracker?
I'm doing well tracking food, taking the kids for a walk today. My goals this week are to keep tracking, walk, and bust out my wifi fit or yoga DVD at least once. Hopefully I'll be down around a pound at my weigh in on Wednesday!
DH helped me out last week with eating better, having his support make it a lot easier! Only ate out once, and we made sure all of our meals includes fruits and/or veggies!
Still need to step up the exercise, but I did manage to go for a couple of walks in the neighborhood and even went and walked around the mall for a couple of hours when it rained all day Friday!
While fall weather is still no where in sight here in Florida, the mornings are less hot and muggy. So my goal is to go for at least three morning walks. I have a wedding to go to on October 17th and would love to lose another 5-10lbs before then!
I had a pretty good week, trying to not go more than three days w/o exercise, and we've had much better days with LO lately so that has helped. I think we must have been suffering from some of the same 2-month-shot-crabbiness everyone was talking about.
I had to take LO with me for my run on Monday and that was tough! We have the BOB, so it's easy to push and handles bumps, but it is definitely a challenging workout!
For those looking for good healthy recipes, I made black bean soup on Monday and it's fantastic! Got inspired watching "the pioneer woman" on the food network. First she made this soup , then used the beans to make taco pizza, burgers, and burritos! Making the pizza tonight

I am so impressed by all of you. I don't know how u find the time. our LO barely sleeps during the day. the best I can do I walk. we walk for an hour every day. that's the only time LO really naps. lucky of LO sleeps 2 one hour stretches. I am 196 hoping to loose 35 or 40 lbs. Trying to eat right is hard too. I seem to struggle finding anytime to cut chop or cook anything.
@mustangholly does your LO like to be worn? Or the swing or bouncer? DD will let me get more done if I wear her or put her in her rock n play. wearing her is like extra credit in the calorie burning department too!
@MSUDucks that's a good idea. I will try wearing. bouncer doesn't entertain LO for long unfortunately.
Can I join in on the fun? I finally completed my first workout today and man was it hard! Felt amazing though. This thread would be perfect motivation to keep me on track.
Took DS on a walk this morning in the carrier. Man he got heavy! lol, extra calorie burning though so that's ok and just finished my second day of crossfit, it feels good to do but I'm a little bummed on how hard it is now compared to when I was doing it before I got pregnant. I hope the results show as fast as they did last time, by the second week I already noticed a huge difference, and when I started it last time I was already in great shape. Maybe my scale will finally cooperate in a week or so of this
