Let's see those mugs!

I took mine to go today. This thermos will keep it hot for hours. Too bad I put too much simple syrup in it. It's like coffee flavored sugar.. :-\

Oh, and someone made oatmeal dark chocolate chunk cookie bars and left them in the office kitchen. So of course, I took two. Good for lactation, right? ;-)

Okay, that's what I've been doing.  More like shaking than stirring, but whatever  The other thing I've been doing is taking all of the coffee out of the French Press once it's done brewing instead of letting it sit there until I drink my second cup.  It's definitely making a difference.

Yeah, I pour it into my mug and then pour the rest into a glass measuring cup. I'm going to get a legit coffee carafe one of these days

My drool monster this morning. His fever broke this morning, but he's still having a lot of pain. We're hanging out today to see how he does. And I feel bad sending him to daycare when he's so needy.

Someone post that pumpkin syrup recipe.... for the umpteenth time please. I have some leftover pumpkin after making pumpkin pancakes.

3/4 c. Brown sugar
1 c water
1 TBS pumpkin puree
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice

Combine (heat) water and sugar until dissolved. Whisk in puree and spices. Drain through cheesecloth or sieve. Enjoy :-)

Maple, buttermilk is AWESOME for baking! I swapped it into my favorite white cake recipe, and it's amazing. But drinking it straight? Vom. It's sooooo thick!
