With my first, they stayed sensitive for several weeks, but they weren't really sore, per se. If my bra rubbed therm, they hurt, and the shower spray felt like acid rain, and nursing hurt for the first few sucks. But it for better I think after the first month or two.
They've only hurt for the first couple of days with my second and third.
Every day is a little better. We are at 4 weeks. Showers no longer sting but I still hate anything but a nursing pad touching my nipples. Thank you for asking as I was wondering the same thing!
I'm almost 6 weeks and breastfeeding just recently became comfortable for me. It still hurts the first couple of sucks, but otherwise, it's fine. Outside of feedings, I'm no longer sensitive to water in the shower, but it hurts like heck to towel off after. And I'm still sensitive to clothing touching my nipples.
I'm being featured in a new pregnancy/motherhood blog during the month of October, so if you ever wanted to know more about my pregnancy, birth, and motherhood experiences than anyone ever should, check out my posts in the link below!
bah I'm 7 weeks and they are still really sensitive. I can't remember how long it took with my first but this seems worse this time around. Or maybe the lack of sleep made me forget.
