Our first went to daycare. Once he got over his bottle strike, he needed 4 4oz bottles at 4 months.
Twins are now home with dad- he goes through 15-20 oz/day for both babies combined.
So- we're wondering- will they need more as they approach 6 mon? Or was the daycare overfeeding, or (more likely) wasting more than we knew about? Or can the need be that different (oldest was much bigger at birth)?
We're mainly just curious (though I may cut back a little on pumping if their need doesn't increase).

Since the twins are at home and you don't drop them off at daycare, I assume you're probably nursing right before you leave so they probably don't need their first bottle for a couple of hours. I don't know how long your gone with workday and commute, but many moms say their LO takes about an ounce per hour they are gone.
The average breastfed baby consumes about 25 oz in 24 hours. Depending on how many feedings you're getting in and whether or not they sttn plays part in their ounces while you're away.
My LO, except for growth spurts, was taking 12 oz a day and we were apart about 10 hours because I worked 8, had an hour lunch and a half hour commute each way. I fed her last thing before walking out the door and she was ready to nurse as soon as we got home. I sent a 4th 2 to 4 oz emergency bottle as well.
