Help!

Okay so I came in for day 10 monitoring today....first one since day 3. OPK at 10:30am today was positive darker than control line (so ovulation should be within 12-36 hrs...I didn't test yesterday so not sure when it started)....5:30pm was negative as line was still dark but lighter than control line. I also had temperature drop today with charting which I typically get O day. And I would suspect a rise tomorrow morning. Clinic called at 2:30 today to say we will do ovidrel tomorrow first thing and first IUI at 10:30 tomorrow and second one Monday. Based on timing of positive won't Monday be late?! And wouldn't I likely O before Ovidrel timeframe or will my body delay ovulation to that 24-36 hr window? Any advice would be appreciated!

um... i think it's ok? because even monday would be at your 36hr mark, unless your test this AM was the tail end of your surge and perhaps you had a surge yesterday and didn't catch i which means monday may be too late. UGH.

i'm not too good at this.. anyone else?

So my body released 1 of 2 mature follicles already. They still gave me the ovidrel and want to still do IUI today and tomorrow. I can't help but feel like I am being schemed a bit especially since the nurse couldn't really answer any of my questions. I'll ask the doc when I go in later for the IUI.

I think it's fine, they want to do the IUI a few hours either side of O, so I think the fact that you already released one before your first IUI is a good thing, the sperm will be able to catch that egg, and tomorrows IUI will be able to catch the other.

So sounds like Ovidrel won't release another egg if you already ovulated. Estrogen level yesterday was over 2000 and today 500. Anyways we did IUI today but the doctor said no IUI tomorrow.

Oh I didn't know that! That sucks!! FX that IUI still caught that initial egg

Thanks ladies. Fingers crossed this cycle works as we had another screwed up experience with Collections Room and so we are done done done with this clinic. No TV remote and no seat and garbage pails thrown into the sink. I pulled it out thinking it had been put there for cleaning or something...nope garbage fell out. Thank goodness there was actual soap and paper towel in there this time since I picked up the garbage that fell out and given we all know what goes on in there....definitely an ew factor but we were too embarrassed to actually go out and complain. There are 4 collection rooms and all of them exact same situation. Later we learned that the floors were being done so that's why no seat.

I am so sorry that you continue to deal with this and I would be done too! Fx this is the cycle

Ewww! Yep, sounds like time to move on from that place. Hopefully you won't have to find a new one b/c this one will work. FX!

sailorgal!!  That sounds like a terrible experience!  I'm so sorry it was so awful.  Hopefully down the road it won't matter and you'll just have a funny story about how your baby was conceived.  I would be asking for some kind of compensation, though!  Reimbursement and for them to replace the meds you took this time so that you can do a new cycle without incurring all the same expenses.

Thanks for the support. I wrote a letter to them and we've requested a copy of our medical records which the nurse said she would get to me by the end of the week. I haven't had an official response back from them but really I just want to move on. I do think we should be compensated but I doubt that'll happen since we're moving clinics. 

The clinic recently moved locations and just can't seem to get it together which is unfortunate as they are the best reviewed clinic in our area prior to this. I've talked to a few others who also go there and they've said their experiences at the new clinic have also been awful (although their complaints relate more to wait times and parking issues, etc.). Hubby has been a trooper through this all. I know it's caused him stress, anxiety and embarrassment. But he's really been great.

I got a call from the clinic today. They are going to refund me for the last cycle as well as expedite the move to another clinic (he'll call in directly so that I don't have to go through the referral/wait time). I agreed to meet with them in person though to discuss it all and we'll see. So tough because we are totally torn on whether to stay or move. Truly they have been amazing otherwise, including how they quickly handled this. But these were huge mess ups that really impacted us emotionally.

I'm sorry you are dealing with all of this @sailorgal.  It's as if dealing with IF and treatments isn't enough!  Good luck with deciding your next steps.
