For F*cks Sake - No results LIMBO

Blood draw this morning for 9dp5dt beta results. Private lab (not connected to clinic) must have been delayed because the clinic didn't get our results and closed without even calling me. FOR THE WEEKEND. So even though I had a negative HPT this morning and I know that there's a 99.9999% likelihood our very last hope (last cycle we can afford) has failed, I can't even get the f*cking closure I need. I still have meds to take until I 'officially' get my BFN. Do I keep taking them? Stop? Just stop if AF comes?

This is so incredibly sh*tty and feels way worse than the BFN I was already expecting.
30 yrs, healthy & TTC since April 2010 
DH 32yrs & healthy
*unexplained infertility* 

Regularly access alternative medicine to supplement a lack of resources in our geographical area.
  • Three rounds of clomid (50mg days 3-7) were useless.
  • IUI#1 w/clomid & HCG in May 2013, BFN.
  • IUI#2 w/clomid & HCG on July 23rd. BFN.
  • IUI #3 in August cancelled last minute, due to lab error.
  • IVF#1 - Started Gonal F stims October 13 2013 for IUI. Over-responded with too many follicles, so converted to IVF. Retrieval October 29th - got 5 eggs, 4 fertilized. Had 2 perfect little embryos transferred on day 3 (Nov. 1). The remaining 2 didn't survive to freeze. Got our BFN on November 13th 2013.
  • IVF#2 - Started stims August 21st. Triggered with Suprefact, started on dostinex due to risk of OHSS. Retrieval September 5th - got 27 eggs! 21 embryos on day 3. Embryos deteriorated quickly. ESet 5day blast on Sept 10. No embryos high enough quality to freeze. BFN came Sept. 22.

Reserved a semi-known proven donor in August .

Waiting for consult/screening and protocols with estimated fresh cycle timing in October

    That is so, so shitty, and I'm sorry they did that to you. 

    I would keep taking the meds, personally, on the admittedly very small chance the blood work might show a different result than the HPT. I'm not trying to spew false hope here; I just think that might be best for your peace of mind.

    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #1 - Dec 2013 - Only 1 normal. Ended in CP
    IVF w/ICSI and CCS #2, at CCRM - March 2014!
    14R, 12 ICSI'd, 11F, 6 for CCS, 5 healthy blasts frozen!
    Two 5BB blasts transferred 9/10; First beta 9/19: 109; second beta 9/22: 550!
    EDD: 5/29/15

    Ugh. I can't even imagine. I am so sorry :(. I agree, I would keep taking the meds *just* in case even though I completely understand why you may not want to.

    May 2014- HSG, all clear, started Synthroid, Femara 5mg CD 3-7 + trigger + TI= BFN
    Waiting for new RE appointment end of July 2014

    Shit. That is seriously messed up. I offer no advice, but I've taken myself off of progesterone support for most (all?) of my cycles. It just delays the inevitable. I do recommend testing with FMU tomorrow with a FRER. I am so sorry.

    Wow, that's horrible so sorry. Definitely continue with the meds until you are confirmed one way or the other

    Oh, that is terrible :( I am so sorry. Personally, I'd continue meds until the doctor told me to stop. Augh. I'm so sorry :(

    Me: 40,DH: 48, Married 10/07/2011, TTC since 09/2011, 03/2012 Started Clomid, 04/2012     Clomid, 05/2012 Clomid, 06/2012 Went to RE, he found a plum size fibroid in uterus, husband has low sperm count, 06/06/2012 Removed fibroid, 08/2012 Hysteroscopy
    IVF #1 October 2012 - Retrieved 8 eggs, 5 fertilized, 10/13/2012 Transferred 3 embryos - 8, 5, and 4 cells,     the other 2 eggs did not survive freezing, 10/26/2012 BFP!! Beta: 11, 10/26/12 Beta: 2 = Chemical Pregnancy
    IVF #2 - March 2014 - Mini IVF - Retrieved 5 eggs, 4 fertilized, 4 Frosties - 8, 9, 7, and 7 cells all in good condition.

    So sorry, ugh. I'd keep on the meds too... but I can't let go of hope, however remote

    Official diagnosis: Unexplained IF. I am 32. I have low ovarian reserve (low AMH), and poor egg quality. I've also been diagnosed with mild glandular developmental arrest (lining problems, detected with EFT).

    We are using open ID donor sperm. IUIs #1-7=BFN. IVF September 2014 antagonist protocol, 8R,5M,3F, 5 day transfer of 1 morula = BFN. IVF#2 planned for January 2015 (antagonist protocol + HGH).

    That really sucks. They are very bad people and you certainly don't deserve this. I would keep taking meds until you hear from the doctor.

    I'm so sorry ((Hugs)) I have taken myself off meds after a BFN for most of my treatment cycles as RE does betas like 18dpo and I can't handle giving myself stuff for nothing.  Can you call the lab yourself and ask if they will release your results??  BIG ((Hugs))

    DH- 29, low count due to a chromosomal abnormality, only option is IVF/ICSI with PGD.

    Married 5/13

    TTC since 8/13

    IVF/ICSI #1 ER 9/14 - 14R, 6M, 6F, 5 blasts off to PGD- 1 normal female, 2 balanced males

    FET 12/8 of 2 frosties - 1 male/1 female - stick babies stick! 

    Beta #1 10dp5dt 444! Beta #2 14dp5dt 2,340!  U/S 1/5-- TWINS!!!  EDD 8/26/15

    OH I am so so sorry. I'm thinking of you. I'd keep taking your meds at this point. I know this has been a tough cycle for you.

    DX: MFI-Very Low Count, I have Hashimotos.
    IVF prep September 2013 cancelled due to Ovarian Cyst
    IVF #1 October 2013 Antagonistic Protocol with ICSI  ER 10/31/13 (18R 16M 11F- 6 blasts to freeze)
    ET delayed due to OHSS 
    FET scheduled for July 8. Delayed due to a crazy high TSH (it had been under control for YEARS!)
    FET #1 8/5/14 sET BFN

    1/23/14- **Surgery**
    Diagnosis: severe pelvic adhesions from stage 3/4 endo and old ruptured appendix
    RE Recommends IVF due to likely tubal damage
    IVF #1- November 2014 
                     Started stims 11/7. Antagonist Protocol
                     Trigger 11/17, HCG/Lupron
                     ER 11/19   27R/24m/14F
                     ET 11/24   1 little embie 
                     5 frosties!!!
