  • i used my husband's travel toothbrush to clean gunk out of my engagement ring this morning.  i'll buy him a new one at this store this afternoon.  probably.

I brushed my teeth with DHs tooth brush this week. He took his toothbrush and toothpaste to the other bathroom. So when I went To brush my teeth I didn't have tooth paste. I forgot until I was in the other bathroom, so since both a tooth brush and paste were present I used them. Even though it wasn't mine. :P

That's just bad parenting.  At least put the chocolate chips in a cookie or some ice cream or something.  How is he supposed to get them all in his mouth?

Don't worry they were the large ones, weren't messing around with mini chocolate chips over here!

Although, cookies would make a pretty happy husband. (I would have to hide them from ds, not because I don't want him to eat them... But because I want to eat them ALL).

I had a coupon for up to $8 off an item. The item I purchased was only $6.99 but the guy at the grocery store gave me the full $8 off my bill and I didn't speak up. Part of me wants to go back with my reciept and speak up....and I probably will. This will weigh on me.

Why? That's the beauty of coupons!
  • I left diaper laundry in the washer this morning.

My son will eat Banana, Gouda, Bread, and Nectarines.  And usually it's only a bite or two and then it gets flung to the floor.  I really wish we had a dog.

Although perhaps me finding that vom worthy means my marriage is in danger.

I knew someone who never shared a toothbrush with her husband.  5 minutes later, boom.  Divorce.

but how old were they?  because if she was over 30 and had shriveled useless eggs, i would have left her too

    LOL

  • I frequently forget to pull my shirt back down after nursing. Sometimes DH has to remind me...Which is why I always wear a cami underneath.

  • I just finished pumping and walked out of my office, to the kitchen and put the milk in the fridge. I thought something felt weird and looked down and realized I had left my shirt up. At least I remembered to put my nursing tank all the way back on and thankfully there were no clients waiting in the lobby #:-S
The whole time I was pumping (16 months ish) I worried about accidentally doing this.  I was constantly checking and double checking myself!!

Right? I do it all the time at home but this was my first, and let's be honest, not my last time at work. Need more coffee...and ice cream

I hate those motorized vehicles for kids.  You know the ones that go like 3 miles an hour and allow kids (usually without helmets) to terrorize the neighbors' flower beds?

Well MH likes them.  Somehow I convinced him to not buy one for D, and was winning the battle with G.  G is OBSESSED with tractors.  Especially the John Deere riding lawn mower variety.  We take a pretty long walk 3-4 nights a week, and he literally cries if we don't walk down this one street where one of the houses stores their JD riding mower on the side of the house.  He even makes you stop and stare at it for a good 5 minutes.every.single.night.

I was shopping for birthday presents & found one of those darn ride-ons on CL that looks just like a JD riding mower.  We bought it.  I'm pretty mad at myself for saying yes, but OMG he is going to flip when he opens it. It even has a little wagon thing to haul stuff with on the back.

That part made me llol. I kinda hate those things too. BIL said his 4year old finally learned how to pedal. He had to take away all his cars (they have 3) in order for him to try to start pedaling on his tricycle or bicycle.

Do they not make pedal cars or anything anymore?
  • I'll admit that I judge one mom I'm friends with on FB. She daily posts a picture of her almost two year old eating his dinner, and I can't recall one single time that it's been something other than French fries, hot dog, or some other 'kid friendly' unhealthy foods. I think she's maybe posted him eating a carrot once.

This makes me so sad. A large number of my acquaintances with young kids feed them this way. My nephew actually had to ask me what cabbage was when he was around 10 and eating dinner with us. He also asks me pretty much whenever he visits if he can have a peach/Apple/banana because he likes them and his mom doesn't keep them in the house.

  • It makes me so sad to see parents only feed their kids junk like that. Ketchup is not a fruit, and neither are those Sponge Bob shaped fruit snacks. Get those kids some real food!

  • This begs the question, what age are raw carrots okay for kids? That's not worded well, but you know what I mean.

We cut them into matchsticks though, not coins.

  • we do both apples (whole and sliced in 8ths) and carrots cut into sticks. Started both around 10ish months. Apples probably earlier. He loves them. Especially dipped in hummus. I suppose now that I think about it, they probably are bigger choking hazards, but they aren't round so I don't worry too much, just watch him.

I had a confession and then forgot. I will probably remember on Sunday when this thread is dead.

  • M has had those Plum organics food mush pouch things. I find them repulsive and disgusting and I always said "I won't feed them to him". But he's had it now-twice

  • Also, to @Chickypoo2468‌ in particular, I don't judge kids eating the quick, junky type foods. It's just literally the only thing he ever seems to eat. I seriously think she's only ever posted a picture of him eating a carrot once, and has never posted any other type of vegetable. Ever. When you post daily meal/eating pics, that's an incredibly sad fact.

Agree. Quick foods are unavoidable sometimes. But when a kid doesn't even know what a vegetable is...that's bad

Why would one post daily meal pics in the first place.

She still posts pictures of ev.ery.thing. She posts three to four pictures a day of his bath too. It's insane.

  • Yeah, totally agree that occasional junk is just part of life sometimes. But as ITK mentioned, it's the constant serving of it that is sad. If an 8 yr old doesn't know what cabbage or squash is, or has to ask for an apple because he never gets them at home, that's where it becomes disappointing.

According to my mom it makes DS STTN. Oh if only...... Then he'd be the cleanest kid around.
