Empty sac at 5 weeks

Hi had to have early scan due to previous problems in another pregnacy the scan showed a empty sac no fetal pole or yolk sac I'm 5 weeks pregnant counting from my last period they have told me to go back in ten days the sac measured around 7 mm literally dreading going back incase they don't find anything has anyone been in a similar situation x

I went yesterday at 4w6d and saw only a gestational sac which measured 8mm - u/s tech said it was totally normal and not to worry! I go back in a week from today for another u/s

5 weeks is early.  Don't start stressing yet.  GL and update us after your next u/s!

With my first pregnancy, I went in with bleeding at 5.5 weeks and had an ultrasound. There was only a sac at the time. Two weeks to the day later, there was a guppy and a strong heartbeat. He's now three and has allergies making him miserable as I type this.

It's still way early. Try not to stress.

Same thing happened to me but when I went back a week later the ultrasound showed the yolk and a little one. They told me setting your date off of your last period can be misleading and you may not be as far along as that date is telling you. I bet everything is fine!

Hi there I'm on pregnancy number 9 I've had 3 live births 4 miscarriages and 1 ectopic please don't worry yourself I've had lots of early scans with my 3 healthy babies and nothing seen until 6 weeks

I went yesterday and saw just a sac (thought I was 6w6d) scan was reading 5w1d hoping my irregular period is why I am off and hope to see a baby when I go back; I was a hot crying mess yesterday! its hard not to be concerned! hope all goes well for you

My last pregnancy there was nothing but a sac at 5 weeks and then at 6-7 weeks there was a fetal pole & heart beat. Keep you chin up!

I had the same experience with my first son. Probably too early to tell. Don't stress about it, probably normal.

As pp stated-- no need to worry, yet. I have heard of this many times before, and when the person goes back at 6 wks or 7 wks, there is a baby.
